Millie froze. The offshore account was not something to take lightly. That account had been painstakingly built over the years, filled with siphoned funds from various people and projects. Her fingers tightened around the edge of the table as she turned to Charles. "Why?" she asked cautiously. "We're safe here. This safe house is secure. No one knows where we are. Why do we need to check the account?"
