As Kage continued to move through the dark and dank depths of the tunnels, he could feel Malakar's approaching presence. He knew she should take this threat seriously, but that didn't quell the dark pleasure and sarcasm that was growing inside him.
He easily defeated the two powerful servants Malakar sent. Now Malakar himself was coming. A devilish smile appeared on Kage's face. "Is the Demon Lord coming in person? So I really managed to catch his attention."
Kage began to silently move towards the light at the end of the tunnel. He thought that the source of this light might be Malakar's hiding place. As he got closer, he felt the dark energy intensify.
At the end of the tunnel, in a large room, Malakar's dark presence became evident. Malakar sat on a dark throne and had a menacing glint in his eyes. "So Kage," Malakar said in a deep, resonant voice. "Are you the one who killed Shadow and my two loyal servants?"
The Kage laughed mockingly and placed his scythe on his shoulder. "Oh, Demon Lord. Are you here because you can't control your own servants? Or do you want to seize my power? You'll wait a long time."
Malakar was angered by the Kage's sarcastic attitude, but remained calm when he saw his inner energy. "What is a being like you doing here? There can only be one death in this multiverse, and it's not you."
The Kage let out an evil laugh. "I don't want to have this stupid conversation again," he said with dark pleasure. "My existence over millions of years is too complicated for weak beings like you."
Malakar shivered internally as he tried to understand the true source of the Kage's power. "Do not underestimate me, Kage. I am the one who rules over these dark lands. It is my job to destroy those like you."
The Kage brandished his scythe threateningly. "Let's see if you can destroy me, Malakar. But first, I want to absorb your power and become even stronger."
Malakar raised his hands and began to gather dark energies. Stepping towards the Kage. "I will destroy you."
Kage attacked Malakar, pouring all his death energy into his scythe. Malakar responded with his dark energy and a terrible battle began between the two. As the energies collided, the walls of the room shook and the ceiling began to collapse.
With an evil smile, Kage swung his scythe and began to slowly absorb Malakar's energy. Malakar became weak, screaming in pain. "How can this be?" he exclaimed. "You... how can you be so strong?"
The Kage let out an evil laugh and thrust his scythe into Malakar's chest. "Power only has meaning in the right hands, Malakar. Weak beings like you can never understand that."
As Malakar's dark body slowly disappeared, Kage absorbed his soul and became even stronger. "Was it that easy?" murmured the Kage, satisfied. "I can't wait for greater powers."
