Chapter 104 - Dark Victory

As Kage moved deeper into the dark forest, he smelled a new enemy he would encounter. Her steps slowed down, she focused her attention completely and tried to understand who the approaching being was. When he reached a clearing, a single figure appeared before him. This figure was surrounded by a glowing aura, contrasting with the darkness.

The Kage looked at the figure with a wry smile. "So you came alone. Do you despise me that much? Or are you that desperate?"

The figure approached the Kage, calm and confident. "My name is Arion. I am the guardian of light and life. What is a dark being like you doing here?"

Kage rolled his eyes and let out a condescending laugh. "Light and life, huh? What a cliché. Is having such a fancy title to cover up your weakness?"

Arion spoke, ignoring the Kage's sarcastic attitude. "Dark beings like you bring only destruction and death. My mission is to stop you and cleanse this world of your dirt."

The Kage's eyes shone with a mocking light. "Positions and titles... These are just nonsense made up by the weak to feel strong. Let's see how the light can defeat the darkness."

Arion began to collect light energy. Bright light waves emanated from his hands, hurtling towards the Kage. Swinging his scythe, Kage deflected these energies and counterattacked. They were both attacking each other mercilessly, showing off their strength with every move.

The war was long and difficult. Arion managed to force the Kage with his light and life energy, but the Kage's dark and deadly attacks forced Arion to constantly remain on the defensive. Using the dark power within him, Kage managed to get close to Arion and swung his scythe.

Arion attempted to push the Kage back with a final burst of light, but the Kage dodged the attack by concentrating his dark energy and plunged his scythe into Arion's heart. "How pathetic," Kage said sarcastically. "The guardian of light and life has been defeated by darkness."

Arion collapsed to the ground in pain. As the Kage began to absorb her soul, she felt the seal within her become slightly less. At that moment, a distant burst of power caught his attention. This energy seemed very familiar. Taking a deep breath, Kage thought about the source of this energy. "This energy... Ken and Nijin's energy," she muttered.

Kage continued speaking with a devilish smile on his face. "So our seals are connected. Also, since we came to this world, our seals may be connected to each other."

As he thought about this theory, an idea appeared in Kage's mind and his eyes glowed with an even darker light. "How interesting," he said sarcastically. "The fact that our seals are connected to each other causes them to become stronger. This means that I need to absorb more souls to break their seals as well."

Kage laughed evilly once again. "Ken and Nijin, I wonder how strong you will be? When our seals are broken, I can't wait to fight you with all my might. When that moment comes, only I will survive."

Kage continued to move deeper into the forest, feeling his strength grow even more. Each step made him a darker and more ruthless warrior. Every enemy he faced was merely a tool to increase his power, and the Kage was unstoppable on his journey to power. "They will be as strong as I am," he whispered to himself. "But I will be darker and crueler than any of them."
