Wu Zhou strides towards us. Dateless, without an entourage, he's chosen to show up to the Luxies after being something of a recluse, from what Sun Wukong said. I can only interpret his sudden appearance here, after avoiding all public events for centuries, in one way.
"Emperor Wu Zhou," I say formally. "Welcome to the Wonderful World of the Wendigo Inn. What brings you here, after your long absence from public life?"
Wu Zhou might as well have hatched from a stone egg and still be made of stone. He stares at me unblinking. How does he do that? Is he just trying to intimidate everyone on the red carpet so we'll acknowledge him?
Sun Wukong makes screeching monkey noises that cause a feedback loop in our equipment, and I have to turn it off temporarily. Quick and clever, Fuxi yanks him aside and adjusts his robes, fussing with his fur. With Wukong distracted, I turn to Wu Zhou.
