Alex's eyes widened as he stared at the drawer he just opened. The inside of the drawer was the same, except that a particular something was missing.
"Where the hell is Sandy..."
His precious Raven that he was feeding with his Mana daily was no longer in the drawer.
Alex couldn't believe it, so desperately, he began checking around the room.
"No... It's still in the room, right?... It should still be here."
He kept gaslighting himself as he checked the entire room, but as minutes went by, he was slowly realizing it.
The egg was, indeed, missing.
His breathing suddenly became ragged as he remembered what happened last night.
"Before I pursued that Vampire, I'm sure that the egg was still here," Alex muttered. "But..."
He squinted his eyes as he remembered something.
"But did I lock the door?"
"If I didn't lock the door, then that means..."
The heavy truth dawned on him.
"It was stolen."
