My parents where in the VIP room. If my father did not convince my mother, she would have not come with him. His purpose was evaluate me, if I was any better.
As for my mother, it was to evaluate my existence. My sister Claire was present as well. She was the only one that truly cared about me even though was unable to perform my duties as a big brother.
She was stronger than me even though she was 11 years old. All the head of the eight master clans were present and eagerly waited to see who would be victorious.
"I'll be cheering for you both," Theodora said. Her words made us smile and as we proceeded to the entrances we'd be coming out of when we were called.

Welcome back all, to the opening tournament and it's day 2. I'm your host, Reagun Kageno and I'm back here with the Student Council President, Bernard Kennedy.
[Bernard]
Thank you Kageno, and we'll be diving right into the action. The first combatant is from the well known Karuta clan, Kelvin Karuta!
On que, I stepped out of the entrance in response to hearing my name. I did not really have any armour prepared. I wore my green track suit that I only wore when I went out for my morning run back home. Green was not my colour at all but I had to wear it, there was no other choice.
I had a small bag with the Din weapons strapped to my waist.

And his opponent, he was known for the huge role he played in calming the storm dragon and earned the tittle [the storm] through its blessing. Timothy Tencent!
I was surprised to hear what Timothy did and begun to worry a little about my plan working.
He came out of the other entrance. We both were excited about facing each other in battle.
"And his wearing a battle suit," I said. The same brand as Theodora wore with the Tencent crest on the back. "I should get one of those when I can." A few seconds later and we met in the ring at a far away distance.
[Kageno]
Let the fighting begin!
In the same instant, the official gave the signal then the match.
As soon as it was given, I got out two blade stars from my bag and casted the special magic [Magnify] on them. The blade stars increased in size and weight by five times and then thew them in Timothy's direction.
As he was about to do something to deal with them, they suddenly begun to travel upwards and passed above him. "What's he trying to do?" He thought and followed there movement with his eyes. "Wait, it a distraction!" He thought he realised and quickly looked back at me.
Surprisingly, I was still in the same position. Then he saw tiny reflections of light bouncing off tin strings that attached to the blade stars and to my hands.
I decided to pull them right there and then, and the spinning blade stars were forced to come spinning back to the toward the ground behind Timothy. As they were about to hit him, he dodged just in time with a back flip and landed safely on the ground.
The blade stars crushed into the ground and became stuck. Timothy then touched the floor and casted [Tempest whip] and pulled out Lightning from the ground like pulling root a tree root.
It burst out and and continue towards my direction, breaking the ring floor as it travelled. I remembered how I dealt with it last time. I casted [Fire arrow] in response to the memory and imagined I had a bow and arrow in my head. I pulled back the arrow and the fire arrow appeared in my hand.
I released it and the twe spells collided once again and exploded. The blast pushed us back, almost out of the ring.
I pulled out a blade and sunk it into the ground, using it as a way not to bet blown away off the ring. When the blast died down, Timothy somehow managed not to get blown away and appeared from behind the smoke.
My plan branched off into two routes, wearing him out or trapping him. But knowing him, the first option was not going to be easy. While thinking of what to do next and what my next move would be. Timothy lowered himself into a position to sprint.
It looked as though he was about cast a spell as well. I would tell from the glow in his eyes. I casted another fire arrow and used [Magnify] on it and it increased its size, making the spell's range wider.
"[Flash step],"
My spell was too slow to stop him. The fire arrow exploded and at the other side of the ring. As fast as lightning, he moved and appeared in front of me with a serious punch held up.
I only saw a glimpse of his movements. After he dodge my spell, he jumped into the air and continued to jump from side to side in a zigzag pattern and landed in front of me. He was about to hit me when strings manipulated by my mana tied themselves around his right uncle and his arms, spotting him from punching me.
"What? When did he even place these."
Stealth wad one of the practices the Karuta clan trained in. To the rest of my clan members, that was nothing. That was my chance, I casted [Moto] (Inazuma moto) into my fist and gave him a solid knuckle to his chest.
The lightening attack shocked him before sending him flying across the ring. He struggled to get up but he did, he looked impressed, someone actually landed a hit on him with a lightning attack, his speciality.
He casted his own version of my spell,[Dama] (inazuma dama) and looked like he was ready for round two.
