The three staff members in the exhibition hall quickly approached Ye Wutian, and the older middle-aged man asked Ye Wutian in an unfriendly tone, "Sir, was it you who damaged this bronze statue?"
Ye Wutian immediately shook his head like a wave drum, and said with an innocent face, "No, no, how could it be me. The statue just broke on its own as soon as I walked up to it; it has nothing to do with me."
The three staff members exchanged glances, and one of the skinny ones questioned again, "How could it just break on its own for no reason?"
Ye Wutian shrugged and said, "I don't know about that. Maybe it was shoddily made, and they skimped on materials by mixing in flour with the bronze, so it wasn't durable."
"Nonsense, no matter how much they cut corners, it couldn't possibly break on its own for no reason," another short one said.
