"A second chance at life? Like reincarnation?" I ask incredulously, is he trying to joke?
"Precisly, my child. I know you must think I'm joking, but I assure you that I am completely serious. Your world will be chosen based on a wheel spin, and your abilities will be chosen the same way. After your world is chosen, your ability wheel will show the ability options that are available to that world. You have knowledge of all of the available worlds, so if you have watched it, or read it, it could be on the wheel." Rob explains. It is reasonable, he is a ROB after all, and it seems pretty well thought out, only allowing worlds you have knowledge of, so you aren't completely confused, and ability options being limited by what would typically show up in that world. I'd assume if you got a FRIENDS world, your options would be intelligence or strength, and if you were in a MARVEL world you could get teleportation or fire breathing, or something similar.
"What about my appearance, or family?" I hope it is as well thought out as the world/abilities options.
"It depends on what type of world you get, some worlds, like DEMON SLAYER, you will automatically be an older child without a family, though you would gain the memories of your family and your life with them before you gained sentience. While others, like GAME OF THRONES, you will be a newborn, and your status will be chosen by the wheel. In others you may start as a teen or adult. And your appearance will match your status and abilities, with some customization." He explains. So it really is well planned. That's nice to know.
"So when do we get started?" I ask. I really want to get this over with.
"We can start right now." He replied. And he really meant 'right now', since a glowing, multi colored wheel rose from the floor. "Rest your hand on it and it will put the worlds you have knowledge of into place." He says once the wheel was in place. I follow his instructions and as soon as my hand touches it, worlds start flashing into place, more colored slots adding to the wheel, until all of the sections were too thin to be able to read what world was on it. I may have read and watched to many things.
"With so many options, the chosen world will be displayed independently after the spin ends." Rob explains, "You can go ahead and spin the wheel." As he says this a lever appears next to the wheel. I grab it and pull down, the wheel starts spinning, slowly at first, but it quickly picks up speed. After several minutes, the wheel starts slowing down. The wheel flashes the selected section a few times before MY HERO ACADEMIA is displayed in bold letters. At least I know a lot about this world.
"We will now move on to your quirk, and since I am so kind, I am giving you two complimentary quirks." Rob says, looking very pleased with himself. The wheel changes to show the quirk selections, similar to the first, there are too many selections to be able to read them. I pull the lever as soon as the wheel is done loading selections. Soon the selection DRAGON SHIFTING appears on the wheel. Then it changes to secondary quirks, which is few enough that I can read each option easily. I pull the lever and it displays EARTH'S AVATAR.
"You will get a detailed description of your quirks during your appearance customization. This world comes with multiple family/status options, so you will spin the wheel again." As he says this, the wheel changes to match his words. I spin and TWO PARENTS is displayed. "Your parents' quirks will match yours to some extent." Rob adds on. The wheel changes to show status, and after I pull the lever it displays UPPER-MIDDLE CLASS. So I will have a decent family, unless they turn out to be abusive. The wheel then changes to show my appearance, showing three different forms.
"This is how you will look at the start of canon minus any scars you may gain until then, you can change a few minor details here, like colors, or you can leave it as is." I look at each form closely, not finding anything I would like to change.
"I would like to leave it as is. How will I enter the world?" I ask.
"You will be a newborn, I'm also going to throw in Eidetic Memory. I wish you luck in your new world, Nyx." After he says that I blink and I am in the arms of a very tired looking woman.
