After unbuckling her seatbelt, Zhao Qian was debating in her mind whether to speak up and invite Wang Dahai inside for a while.
The words were already on the tip of her tongue, but she didn't know how to say them out loud.
Her movements were slow, and Wang Dahai noticed.
Understanding that Zhao Qian had a shy disposition, he took the initiative and said, "Not going to invite me in for tea?"
Hearing this, Zhao Qian quickly responded, "I was just about to invite you."
And so, Wang Dahai got out of the car and followed her into the villa.
Although they had experienced intimacy the night before, their relationship still felt unfamiliar.
Once inside, Zhao Qian poured Wang Dahai a cup of tea, then sat nervously on the nearby sofa.
Her posture on the couch was slightly tense.
Wang Dahai felt the awkwardness as well.
The two had very little to talk about, creating a brief silence.
Trying to break the ice, Wang Dahai asked, "How's work? Are you adjusting well?"
"It's fine."
