"Really, Geidall? Again?"
I look at the middle-aged man who looks at me with a sheepish expression.
"What can I say? Hunter's life is full of danger."
I look at his companion, who laughs at his excuse and raises one of my eyebrows. One of them wipes the tear of his eye and says.
"He tries to impress a hunter woman who we meet on the way here. Let's just say that he cannot juggle five stones at once."
I release a sigh and take out a small bottle of potion.
"Here. Drink this. I already put the bones together, and this potion will help heal the bones."
Geidall smiles at me and says,
"Thank you, healer. What do I owe you?"
"Just make sure to gather the ingredients for the potions the next time you go on hunting."
All the ingredients to make the bone-mending potion come from plants and animals from around Winterhold. After a week of experimenting, I managed to create the potion from the local flora and fauna. I have yet to master the local Alchemist and use Medea's power and knowledge of how to make potions.
"Will do, healer. I shall bring all the ingredients you need."
"Bwahahahaha! I don't think I can do that, healer. I am Nord, and we are a rowdy bunch!"
"Urgh. Then bring triple the ingredient for your future broken bones!"
"Bwahahaha! I understand!"
After telling them to leave my house, I wait for the next patient. Seeing there was none, I put the close sign outside and locked the door. I walk to the kitchen and tap my foot on the floor. A second later, a hidden door appeared.
The first week of getting a house, I immediately created a workshop and changed it into a temple. With my status as Campione, the barrier around me is strong enough to handle a nuke. Divinity is something that truly is a game-changer in the Nasuverse.
Just a small bit of it can increase any spell by one rank.
I shake my head and look at the potion table in the corner of the room. So far, I have only used this workshop to experiment with potion-making crafts. There are a lot of strange creatures and plants in this world that release different kinds of effects on the body.
Even their salts have a fascinating effect. It can slowly heal someone and even restore their mana, which will blow all the magus' minds in the nasuverse. However, that is only from the raw effect of the salt. When the salt is used alongside other ingredients and added a little bit of mana into it, it can weaken someone's resistance to magic and make them move slowly.
I shake my head and snap from my thoughts. If I continue, it will take hours before I can get out of my trance.
I take the small box and leave the workshop. This is something that Jarl asked me to make for him, and I just found a way to make it yesterday with the local ingredients. When I reach the Jarl Longhouse, the guard greets me.
"Ah, healer Godou! Do you want to see the Jarl?"
"Aye. The project the Jarl asked me to research bears fruit, and now I come here to show him the result."
"That fast?"
"I have free time to do research and accidentally find the correct combination."
"Then please come inside. The Jarl will be happy with this discovery."
I nod and enter the longhouse. As I enter the building, I can see Jarl talking to his wife, Thaena. When he sees me coming, he smiles and says,
"Ah, my thane! Welcome! What can I do for you?"
"I come here with good news, my Jarl. The potion you need is done."
"Truly?!"
He stands up from his throne and looks at me with a hopeful expression.
"Yes. However, I must warn you that this is not a miracle potion, my Jarl."
"Don't worry about it. I understand, Thane Godou. So? Can I see their Fertility Potions?"
I nod and open the small box. These fertility potions make the land fertile and good for growing plants. Winterhold is not only always snowing, but the land is also barren. The Great Collapse event washed away the fertile land they owned and made it even more difficult to grow food.
They can get food from hunting and fishing, but the rest of the food is imported from other Holds. Jarl Korir knows that he needs to change this and asks me for help. He does not trust a mage, but a healer and alchemist he can trust.
"These are the Fertility Potions that will rejuvenate the land and make it a perfect land to grow food. It even boosts the growth of the plants. Take wheat, for example. It should only need two months before we can harvest them. Sadly, this boost does not last long, as it only lasts two years."
"Can we use the potion once again to get that effect?"
"I will not recommend that, my lord. The land we use cannot be given the potion once again, or it will damage the land. The result will make it even worse than before."
"I see. What a shame. How big can a potion cover?"
"Why don't I show you?"
Jarl Korir shows me the place he wants to use as a farm, and I splash the potion around.
"It is not a lot, huh?"
"Don't worry, my lord. I will create more. I can make the potions as long as we have enough ingredients to make them."
"You are right. Make a hundred of them. You don't need to worry about the ingredients. I shall buy them for you."
"Ah, we also need a glass house, my lord. The potions might rejuvenate the land, but the plant still cannot withstand snow."
Jarl Korir nods his head and says.
"You don't need to worry about it. I have a connection to a glassmaker in Windhelm. He can make the glass house for me."
"Then I shall brew the potions when the ingredients arrive."
He nods his head and says.
"Thank you, Thane Godou. With your help, Winterhold shall regain its past glory."
"And I am more than happy to help, my lord."
After splashing more potion and marking the land, we return to the longhouse. The Jarl wants to make a feast for me, but I tell him to hold it until we have the first glass house and have the first harvest. I want to show the results first before celebrating.
I walk to the inn, and as I enter, Dagur greets me.
"Healer Godou! Welcome! Do you want some mead and food?"
"Sure. What's for today's lunch?"
"Today's lunch is Horker Stew and Garlic Bread."
"I will take it."
I place the money and wait for the food. While waiting, I heard the merchant coming here and talking with the locals.
"And I told you! It is real! I saw the bones myself when I was in Whiterun. I saw the bones dragged from the gate to the city center. It is massive!"
Oh? It looks like the Dragonborn already defeated the dragon in Whiterun, huh? I am curious about what kind of race the Dragonborn is. Will the game logic be applied to them? Should I watch naked people floating around Skyrim on top of a bucket?
I cannot wait.
