Just as these voices echoed, I felt an inexplicable tremor pass through my body. And before anyone could react, a shrill screech arose in our minds, louder than any physical noise.
Then, a brightness enveloped us.
It was a strong, blinding light. For a moment, all I could see was white.
And finally, that hell ceased, just as the shrill sound stopped abruptly, and a deep silence took its place. It was an almost oppressive stillness.
After all, not only did the noises stop, but everything around seemed to stop. No one moved, the wind didn't blow through the window. It was as if absolutely everything had come to a complete halt.
