(Baelon's POV)
There was nothing but a feeling of anxiety that I could feel throughout the entire night and upon waking up. I did not sleep much, only a few hours.
I had woken up in my own bed and made my way straight to Rhaenyra's chambers, to see if he she had woken up already. When I got there, I noticed that she had indeed been awake.
I stood at the door, seeing that she was holding the girl's babe in her arms while sitting down. Min sat in the couch next to her, an exhausted look on her face as she looked down. She was wearing fresh clothes, those that our servants wear.
"Rhaenyra..." I said
Rhaenyra looked up, "Baelon, you are awake." She said, "Come."
I walked over and the moment I got closer, Min clearly got uncomfortable and slid to the side on the couch, looking away in nervousness.
I stopped right next to Rhaenyra, "I...." I said to Min, "Look....I...."
"He will not hurt you." Rhaenyra told her, "There is nothing to worry about."
"I....I know that..." Min said, "I am just..."
I looked down, "I am sorry." I said, "I know this must be difficult for you....as it is for myself...but you are safe...."
"Alright...." She said softly, "Looking down...."
"Helaena has not woken up, I take it?" Rhaenyra said as she held the babe, running her hand on her cheek, "Or did you sleep alone?"
I looked at the girl, she was asleep, and her face seemed rather peaceful.
"I do not know if she is awake or not," I told her
"I see." Rhaenyra said, "Helaena needs to know."
"I know." I told her
"I do not mean to intervene with any of you...." Min suddenly said, "I.....I was just afraid....I did not know if I was able to last in that place...with them.....I was afraid that I would die....t-that the child would die....I..."
I looked at her, "I understand." I said, "And I am sorry for what you have gone through. But I need you to know that you were simply caught in a terrible conspiracy. For years, I have been the target of many dangers."
She nodded, "I-I know who you are, Prince Baelon...." She said, "Almost everyone in Essos does....Baelon Targaryen, Rider of The Black Dread."
"Then you understand why we need to be careful." I told her, "If this is my child-"
"She is." Rhaenyra said
"If she is...." I cleared my throat, "She will be the target of many terrible people....in an attempt to hurt me...."
"I-I know...." Min said, "And she is....she is yours...I swear it on my dead brother's life....she is your daughter....and the reason I brought her here is because I did not want her to be used like I was...she is innocent....she does not deserve to be treated as an object....a means to an end..."
"There is no other reason for her to come here and beg for her and the child's life." Rhaenyra said, "It was us or them, Baelon."
I sighed, "I...."
"There you are, Baelon." I heard Helaena's voice
I turned around to see her walking up to me, wearing a beautiful blue dress. She reached me and pulled me in for a kiss on the cheek.
"H-Helaena..." I said
"I wondered why you did not sleep with me. You were with Rhaenyra?" She asked with a smile, "Well, I wonder if the two of you...W-Who is she? I do not recognize her..."
She was looking at Min, who had stood up immediately and looked down, her hands in front of her.
"Sister....." Rhaenyra started, "There is something you need to know."
Helaena then looked at Rhaenyra, who was holding the girl, "W-What?" She said, "Wait...."
She looked at Min and then back at the babe, a frown on her face while she did so. After a few seconds, she then took a step towards Rhaenyra and leaned down slightly, seeing the babe's hair. Coincidentally, the child began to wake, her eyes slowly opening and revealing the purple color.
The moment that Helaena saw this, she stepped back and looked at me immediately.
She stared at me for a couple of seconds, scanning my face, and looking back at the girl.
"Baelon....." She said softly, "Is this....?"
I looked down, "We do not know." I said, "This woman...her name is Min, she came to us the night prior....she claims that-"
"Shut up." She said as she raised her hand and gently leaned down back to see the babe's face, "Her face....she...pure....beautiful....."
Rhaenyra nodded, "Isn't she quite something?"
Helaena gently placed her hands on both sides of the girl's face as she was staring right up at her.
"She is your daughter....." Helaena said softly, "Those eyes.....they are yours...."
"We....we do not-" I started
"I saw her in my Dream." Helaena said softly, "I dreamt of her.....a black-haired girl with white streaks....beautiful purple eyes...she.....she was yours....in my Dream of us....Happy....I-It was her.....she was there....."
I widened my eyes, "What?"
"The moment I saw her...." Rhaenyra said, "I knew it was his child...."
"May I hold her?" Helaena said
Rhaenyra gently handed the babe to her, "Sure."
As Helaena held the child in her arms, I noticed that Min was looking at this with a surprised look. There was a bit of tears in her eyes, along with pain and sorrow. I could not imagine what this poor woman had been through.
"She....." Helaena said, "She is innocent...of anything that has happened....You cannot deny her....Baelon..."
"What?" I said with a frown, "H-Helaena..."
Helaena then walked over to Min and looked at her, "She is your daughter?" She asked softly
Min nodded, "Y-Yes...."
"And you came to us...." Helaena said
"Yes...." Min said, her voice shaking, "I....I do not wish to....to insult you, Princess.....I....I was scared...t-the things....the things that-"
"Shhh...." Helaena patted her cheek, "You poor thing....I can see it in your eyes.....it must have been horrible....what happened to you....and to my Baelon...none of you deserved that....not you, not the others....and....I am sorry this happened to you...."
"Please...." Min sobbed, "Do not hurt her...."
"Never..." Helaena said, "The child is innocent. And so are you. You are an unfortunate soul...."
"Does she have a name?" Rhaenyra asked
Min wiped her tears away, "N-No...." She said, "I have not named her.....and neither did they....they were not interested in names...."
"Is that so..." Helaena said before looking at me, "Do you wish to....?"
I stepped back, "I...." I said before looking away, "No..."
"Baelon..." Helaena said, "Come...and look at her...."
I stepped back a few steps and shook my head, "Until we figure everything out..." I said, "They both stay here....nobody else can know about this until it is appropriate to come clean."
"What do you intend to do?" Rhaenyra asked
"Let Min settle in. Until she calms down, she will tell us everything she knows." I said seriously, "The fear must pass.....it must have been a terrifying journey....but worry not...you will be safe now. I do not intend to harm you."
