~Zara's POV~
Two days had passed.
Two long, heavy, exhausting days.
It had taken me that long to finally sign the divorce papers—not because I wasn't sure, but because once I did it, there was no going back.
And yet… when I had finally put pen to paper, my hands had trembled. My chest had ached.
Even now, as I sat on my bed, staring at my phone, I could still hear Ella's voice from yesterday.
"You really signed them?" she had asked, her tone laced with disbelief.
"Yeah," I had muttered, twirling the pen in my fingers before setting it down. "It took me long enough, but I finally did it."
"I honestly thought Snow would have chased you by now," Ella admitted. "Even with Kaid around, I expected him to fight harder. To prove himself to you."
I swallowed hard. "Me too."
Ella sighed. "And since he didn't… you're giving up?"
