Chapter 1 - Midnight Vist

In a quite apartment a young woman with long brown hair was holding a baby while quietly rocking in a chair. This is THE Sally Jackson.

A knock sounded through out the apartment. Sally looked up, her eyes filled with worry.

She slowly put the baby into the cradle next to her. "Don't worry Percy. No matter what we'll be ok..." Sally grabbed a bat beside the cradle and slowly opened the front door, revealing a woman covered in long flowing black robes.

Her body was almost completely covered by the robes, except a pair of pale beautiful hands, her fingernails were painted a striking purple. Her nails were long and sharp, they looked like they could cut through iron.

One of her hands held the hand of a small child, barely 2, with white hair, the tips faded into a purple. His eyes were barley open, just barley enough where Sally could see the child's Ruby eyes.

"What do you need ma'am" Sally asked respectfully. She didn't know what this woman was but it never hurt to be nice to someone. Especially if there's a chance they can kill you with a swipe of their hand.

The lady stayed silent and kneeled down next to the young child. She whispered something into his ear then raised up back to face Sally. "Miss Jackson," the ladies voice was ethereal, "I have a request for you."

"Huh? What's the request?" Sally put the bat that she was holding next to the door and opened it a bit further.

"If you would, please, take care of my child." The woman gestured to the small child next to her. "I've thought about it and with you is the safest place I can entrust him."

"What? Why?"

"Your son."

Sally reached for the bag again. "What do you know about him..."

"Everything. Anyways, drop the bat, that won't help you any."

Sally froze and did as the woman said. "So you want me to take care of your son?"

"Yes, he will be very powerful when his powers unlock. And the gods will not enjoy his presence."

"I'm just a normal human though, I don't think I can do anything to help him. I'm sorry."

"Don't worry Sally Jackson, that's not the reason I wish to entrust you with him, the gods will not bother to go against him. They fear me too much for that. I wish for you to give him the human experience. Teach him the things I could never hope to."

"What about his father?"

The woman stayed quiet for a couple seconds. "His name is Dante Inverino, he's currently 1 and a half in human years. Please will you take care of him?"

Sally pondered for a couple minutes, "will you pay child support?"

The woman raised her eyebrows under her robes. "Child support?"

"Don't worry I was only jokin-"

"Would 2000 a month do?" The woman snapped her fingers and a small purse with a starry design appeared in her hands.

"I- I guess yeah..."

"Just know if I find out you spent this money on anything other then something for mine and your sons I will not be happy."

"You'll kill me?"

The woman put her hand over her chest in a appalled motion. "Kill you? Oh heavens no. I would never kill you. Turn you into a crow for a couple days maybe. But never kill you."

"Well... I guess I don't have any reason to say no... wait what about monsters?"

The woman smiled, even if her face was covered you could still tell. "All demigods have to deal with monsters Sally Jackson. This one will just have to deal with a bit more... but don't fret they won't harm him at all! Plus your son is already going to have to deal with a lot of monsters. What's a bit more. And if they do try to harm the little angels before they can defend themselves I'll kill them myself. How does that sound?"

"Alright, I promise I'll take care of Dante."

The woman nodded and kneeled down to little Dante again. "Good bye my sweet star. I'll see you once every year. Minimum."

The woman rises again, looking at Sally. "I'll vist on most holidays and his birthday. Oh and he doesn't like the sun all to much... or France... but that's nothing important right now, what is important is that you get to your son."

"What do you mean?" Sally asked and as soon as she finished the sound of a baby crying started ringing throughout the apartment and door. "Oh shoot! Just come in!" Sally ran to Percy's cradle and got him out. When she looked back at the door all she saw was Dante, his mother had disappeared. "Where's your mom?"

Dante pointed at the door where a single black feather was floating to the ground.

"Oh. Well welcome to my home Dante... why am I saying this your one and a half you don't understand me..." Sally smiled at the young toddler. "Geez why do I feel like this will be a can of worms..."
