Levi sat in his home office, staring sightlessly at the windows, the flourishing garden that Lyse had tended so lovingly a stark contrast to the grim determination etched on his face. He was waiting for Ethan who he had summoned to his house.
Ethan was shown in by the butler. He enter, excited to be able to speak to his boss about all the new changes that were happening at the company. He knew about what had happened to Lyse and as much as he emphasized with her, he was more worried about his boss.
"Ethan," Levi began, his voice low and serious, "I need a favor."
Ethan, ever attentive, nodded. "Of course, Mr. Van Doren. What can I do for you?"
"I need you to arrange for Jeff Chadwick's escape from prison," Levi said, his gaze fixed on Ethan.
Ethan's brow furrowed slightly, for a moment he wondered if he had heard well. "Mr. Chadwick?" he repeated, his voice laced with surprise. "But… he was convicted of serious crimes. That would be… incredibly difficult to pull off."
