Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 Passive Skills

"Mr. Evon, what's wrong?" The butler was called Evon. The male servants usually respected him, and Suisui also called him that.

Evon looked worried and hesitated, "The people from the Bureau came. They said they're asking the young lady to go with them. Because of your special status, they received orders to protect you and relocate you to a better place."

Qiao Suisui frowned, "So sudden?"

"Yes. They said they've already informed the master."

"Did Ruka also agree to let me go with them?"

Evon's previously worried expression relaxed at this. He smiled kindly, "Of course, the master is at least a colonel in the Military Department. Even though the Bureau and the Military Department are independent, they would still notify the master first. After all, no one wants to offend the Sikoses Family."

She looked at the tall men standing in front of the warship. When they saw Suisui's gaze, they immediately knelt on one knee, their left hands on their shoulders. Some of them even discreetly glanced at her.

"What happens if I don't go with them?"

Evon's smile widened, "The Federation's orders can't be disobeyed, not even by the master. I'm sure you won't want to make it difficult for him."

She hummed in agreement and then put on an innocent smile. "Alright, I'll go pack up quickly and come."

She turned around, her expression becoming guarded. She hadn't taken a step before Evon blocked her way.

"Miss Suisui, do you have any private belongings?"

Hearing him emphasize "private," Qiao Suisui suddenly understood. He was reminding her that everything she had here was given to her by Ruka.

"How about this, whatever you need, just tell me. I'll prepare everything for you."

Seeing that Evon had blocked all her options, leaving no chance for her to slip back and inform Ruka, she could only smile and say, "Well, then please bring all the clothes Leberli bought for me. I really like them. Oh, and the ice silk bedding Ruka sent me. I also have...". She rambled on until she saw a crack in Evon's perfect smile. Only then did she gradually stop. "Remember all that? There are a lot of things. How about I..."

Evon immediately interrupted, "You can rest in the garden for a while." Then he turned to order the servants to quickly pack all her belongings from her room and load them onto the flying ship.

While waiting, no matter where Qiao Suisui went, Evon followed. She touched her wrist, turned the pearl, and activated the emergency contact mode of the light computer, which would automatically call Leberli. After a moment, she found that the call failed. Looking down, she saw that the signal had been blocked.

Suisui sat on the steps in deep thought.

The secondary palace's security system was very high-level. No one without permission could open it from outside. For these people to get in now, someone from the inside must have opened the door for them. Were they really from the FBI? She had been taken to the garden, the signal was blocked, and Evon was so forceful... It was all too coincidental.

She couldn't go with these people. Although Ruka was sometimes cold to her, he had saved her life. She could trust him for now, but these people were different. But with Evon here, it seemed they wouldn't let her stay… What to do....

[System, do you have any useful items?]

[Current rewards: 0, points: 0.]

[So you'll just watch as I might get into danger?]

[No danger detected.]

Qiao Suisui gritted her teeth, closed her eyes, and gave up communicating with the system.

Minute by minute, she grew more and more anxious. She watched as the servants loaded all her belongings onto the flying ship. A few who were usually on good terms with her occasionally glanced at her with worried expressions.

Suddenly, her eyes lit up.

Evon came to urge her, "Miss Suisui, please board the ship."

She dawdled to the elevator, saying, "I want to wait for Ruka to come back, at least to thank him personally for taking care of me."

Before Evon could respond, a two-meter-tall man in uniform approached, respectfully saying to her, "Colonel Sikoses is currently at the Bureau. You can come with us first. There will be opportunities to meet later."

"Where are you taking me?"

"The Ancient Human Research Center. Dr. Zong Fang is already waiting for you. The trip will take five to six days, but don't worry, there are chefs and a medical team prepared for you on the flying ship. Your daily needs will be taken care of."

She asked a few more questions, all of which the man answered politely. It sounded safe and well-arranged, but Suisui's instincts told her that she shouldn't leave.

Evon urged again, "Miss Suisui, wish you a safe journey."

She clenched the hem of her dress and stepped onto the elevator under their watchful eyes, followed by the Federation people.

As the elevator rose to the hatch, light and shadow flickered.

With a 'ding—' the door opened. Qiao Suisui sighed.

She could only take a gamble!

Without a second of hesitation, she rushed out of the elevator, standing on the giant flying ship, and leaped down.

"Suisui!!!!!!"

From above Lego Palace, Ruka's heart-wrenching shout resounded.

Simultaneously, the system's alert sounded in Qiao Suisui's mind: [Detected sudden danger, passive skill activated.]

Qiao Suisui leaped down in one smooth motion, all within a breath.

It was too fast! None of the Federation people were able to catch her! The fastest-reacting man only managed to touch a corner of her clothing.

Everyone's shocked expressions were still frozen on their faces when a 'boom' sound was heard. A small flying ship dived straight down, making a big crater on the ground. As the ship rapidly descended, a huge lion leaped out from its escape window and teleported next to Suisui, holding her tightly.

Evon's eyes widened in shock.

Teleportation?

How did this happen.... When did the master awaken his Talent?

'Boom—'

The ground was struck, forming a large pit, stirred up dust outlining a perfect circle. In the raised dust and smoke, a huge lion lay in the giant pit.

Qiao Suisui felt herself in a soft yet firm embrace.

Just as she estimated, as long as she was in danger, the system would activate the passive skill, just like the first time she teleported here. However, back then it was the fragrance, and now it's the Protection Shield. From an outsider's perspective, they could only see her surrounded by a golden Holy Light. She recalled that during the auction, it was also the activation of the passive skill that saved her, so she took the risk again. And sure enough, the system wouldn't let her die like this.

Feeling furry touch, she immediately widened her eyes.

How is there a lion? Just now, did I hear Ruka's voice? Could it be....

She propped herself up with her arms, finding a huge lion beneath her, lying there motionless, with no signs of breath or heartbeat.
