"Song, long time no see."
General Miles approached Song Heping and extended his hand.
His demeanor was quite pleasant, at least much better than the lieutenant who had informed him to come for the meeting.
The more water in the bucket, the less it sways.
The higher the rank, the more serenity they showed.
"General, long time no see, I thought you had forgotten about me."
Song Heping also feigned modesty.
"I personally reviewed the report from the last operation; your performance was notable."
Miles offered another polite remark.
But to Song Heping, this confirmed his suspicions all the more.
The US Army was in big trouble.
"General, I have a question."
"Go ahead."
"With all the capable men at your disposal, what kind of mission would require you to summon a PMC like us?"
Song Heping hit the nail on the head.
Miles instinctively looked around to make sure no bystanders were present.
