Not far from the foot of the mountain, Song Heping looked at his watch. It had been twenty minutes since they started, including the time it took to ascend the slope.
The result was quite acceptable.
"Principal, it's done."
"I've also finished on my end."
"Control, be vigilant."
"Yes!"
"Yes!"
Song Heping turned to Willi and Dax and asked, "Where is the bomber now?"
"It has just arrived over Wardak Province."
Willi pointed at the screen of his laptop.
"The targeting has been set."
"Let's go set an ambush on the hillside and start waiting."
After Willi and Dax packed up their gear, Song Heping led the mobile unit out towards the top of the northern slope.
Now, what they needed to do was wait for the explosion.
Everyone stretched their necks in anticipation to evaluate the Americans' accuracy in the night bombing and see if it was precise.
Meanwhile, two drones had already taken position in the sky, circling, ready to provide ground fire support at any moment.
