"Dripping, dripping..."
Luo Zheng heard the strange, incessant sound as he regained consciousness in a hazy state. It was regular and rhythmic, but unidentified. His head throbbed violently, his consciousness slowly returned, and he gained control of his body. A while later, Luo Zheng remembered being knocked out by Song Yan, thought of Lan Xue, his brothers, and the tourists waiting for rescue on the island. He wondered how they were doing.
Gradually, Luo Zheng felt as though he wasn't bound by ropes, which surprised him. As his mind regained some clarity, he thought of more things and tried moving his arms. Indeed, they weren't tied, but his entire body ached unbearably; it felt like he had broken two or three ribs in his chest, and his legs hurt too much to move. It seemed like something was wrapped around his ankles.
