Golden Eyes did not, as he had when kidnapping Li Yu, stuff Clara into a sack.
He helped the little maid onto the horse's back before mounting himself, took the reins, and the brown horse sneezed. With its master's urging, it set off at a brisk trot.
The oncoming cold wind soon made Clara shiver.
She had thought it was just a short trip when she left the house, and had not anticipated riding a horse, so she had not worn a particularly wind-resistant cloak.
Seeing this, Golden Eyes pulled out a blanket from behind and tossed it to the little maid.
"Thank you," Clara said, wrapping herself entirely in the sheepskin blanket leaving only her head exposed, and immediately felt warmer. She then began to look around curiously.
"Are we… heading toward Teacup Castle?"
"Correct."
"But Merlin and the black hounds are there, along with the warriors from the Arias family."
"That's exactly why no one would think we would leave from there."
