Kaiser, slumped on the couch, fiddled nervously with his controller, while Barrios froze, letting the apple fall back into the bowl, his eyes narrowed with a mix of suspicion and urgency.
Barrios crossed his arms, his biceps straining under his black T-shirt, and locked eyes with his sons. "What did you dig up on him?" he asked, his voice firm, edged with an authority that sent a chill through the air. "And didn't I tell you to focus on your studies?"
Areyos, leaning against a chair, raised an eyebrow, his tone calm but confident. "Erina found it. She told us, and we're telling you because it might help."
