A series of strange sounds emitted from the small robots.
Robin paused, listening intently. "This language is similar to the divine language recorded in the temples of Bikka and Angel Island."
She attempted to decipher part of the message. "Awaken… we… Master… Robot Unit 3593, at your service… Do you wish to input a new language setting?"
It took Robin more than two hours of halting conversation with the robots to establish a translation into the common tongue.
Meanwhile, Noah and his team conducted a brief survey of the underground ruins.
When Noah returned to the main hall, he saw Robin speaking with a group of small robots. "Robin, are they able to communicate now?"
"Yes, though there are a few uncommon words they might not fully grasp."
"I've found something interesting. Come, take a look!"
"Oh?"
Robin, along with a few robots, followed Noah into a palace-like area within the ruins.
Robot 3593 guided them, explaining, "This is the temple. Before the ancient gods left Bikka, they left some murals here."
Enel was already examining the murals.
"Is this a depiction of the lunar inhabitants migrating to the Blue Planet?" Robin took out a notebook and began documenting some of the mural's details.
Noah turned to Robot 3593. "Do you have records of your construction techniques?"
"Yes, they are preserved in the temple's archives," Robot 3593 replied mechanically.
"Take me there."
"Please follow me, my lord."
The group was led deeper into the temple to a statue, where Robot 3593 pressed a sun emblem at its base.
The statue slowly rose, revealing an elevator underneath.
They descended several dozen meters into Bikka's archive room.
The archive was filled with numerous stone tablets, inscribed with writings and illustrations. Among them, Noah found the blueprints for the Ark Maxim as well as designs for the small robots.
Robin translated part of the content on the tablets.
"This section records the history of Bikka… So that's how it happened. The lunar inhabitants originated from the Blue Planet. About 8,600 years ago, their ancestors migrated to the moon due to a catastrophic disaster that forced them to leave…"
"After moving to the moon, they thrived for around 6,000 years until lunar resources were nearly depleted, compelling them to look back toward their original home on the Blue Planet…"
"In the Year 6382 of the Solar Calendar, an exploratory team successfully returned to the Blue Planet and reported that it had become habitable once again."
"In the Year 6402 of the Solar Calendar, the island of Bikka was established in the sky. After a ten-year survival test, the 500 test settlers reported no major adverse effects."
"In the Year 6415 of the Solar Calendar, the lunar homeland authorized a large-scale migration."
"In the Year 6583 of the Solar Calendar, the exploratory team entered the vast red continent on the Blue Planet, establishing the Kingdom of the Gods on it."
"In the Year 6770 of the Solar Calendar, the final group of lunar Bikka residents migrated to the Kingdom of the Gods on the Blue Planet, and Bikka was sealed."
Enel listened to Robin's translation, his eyes filled with wonder.
Noah, however, was less interested in the history of the so-called lunar inhabitants.
Once Robin had recorded the history, she shifted her attention to the technical sections that Noah found intriguing.
Apart from the designs for the Ark Maxim and the robots, the lunar inhabitants had left records of over a dozen technologies, most of which were related to environmental modification.
These included technologies such as "large-scale oxygen production using quartz," "artificial sunlight simulation," "gravity adjustment," "magnetic shielding," "soil conversion," and "water recycling."
The most important among them was the "solar furnace" technology.
"Solar furnace?" Noah immediately thought of Vegapunk's Sacred Flame, which he suspected might have originated from this technology.
According to Robin's translation, the lunar inhabitants had discovered an element called "Proto-Hydrogen" on the moon. By combining it with deuterium in a high-magnetic-field furnace, they generated an endless energy supply.
In Noah's understanding, "Proto-Hydrogen" was likely helium-3.
Over 6,000 years, the lunar inhabitants had exhausted nearly all helium-3 resources on the moon, creating an energy crisis that forced their return to the Blue Planet.
This might also explain why the energy source of the Uranus's solar furnace had been steadily declining, eventually requiring Vegapunk's Sacred Flame as a substitute. Vegapunk likely modified the original solar furnace technology, replacing helium-3 with alternative elements.
Although the raw materials for the solar furnace reaction were hard to find, the technology held immense potential.
After recording these technological insights, Noah decided to establish a Lunar Governor's District, designating Bikka City on the moon as its headquarters.
Considering the power demands of the Lunar Governor's District and the need for continuous electricity, Noah reassigned Joshua from the Storm Islands District to oversee it.
Upon arriving at Bikka City on the moon and receiving Noah's instructions, Joshua eagerly began generating electricity.
Noah also had Arimanufacture a large batch of graphene batteries as backup energy storage for Bikka City, ensuring that the city wouldn't fall into disrepair during Joshua's absence.
Once fully activated, Bikka City housed over 50,000 small robots, along with three robot production lines and various machinery processing equipment. The technology here was vastly superior to that on the Blue Planet.
Next, Noah traveled back to the Kingdom of Rum via Ari's wormhole, transferring a screened group of citizens from Rum. Using magic cards, he sealed and transported over 20,000 individuals to Bikka City on the moon.
With this population and the 50,000 small robots, Bikka quickly regained its vitality.
After completing these tasks, Noah didn't leave immediately. Instead, he proceeded to the dark side of the moon to establish a new secret base.
His reason for choosing the far side of the moon was to avoid detection from the Blue Planet.
Fortunately, the dark side of the moon also had remnants of lunar cities. Noah only needed to modify these underground city ruins to set up the secret base.
The primary purpose of the base on the dark side of the moon was to solve energy supply issues.
While the Noah Family couldn't replicate the solar furnace technology in the short term, lunar development couldn't be delayed, so Noah had to consider alternative energy solutions.
His solution was to harness solar power.
Although the moon has an atmosphere, it is thin and lacks significant water vapor, meaning clouds are practically nonexistent. This environment is ideal for solar energy generation.
Last year, Arideveloped graphene solar panels with an energy conversion efficiency of about 10%. With Devil Fruit powers, these panels could be mass-produced.
By laying down extensive graphene solar panels and using graphene batteries for storage, they could generate ample energy to power the base.
With this renewable energy setup, the moon's capacity to support life would increase rapidly.
