Freya POV:
We were all caught in the explosion unleashed by the awakened dungeon boss, born from that cursed crimson demon crystal. The dungeon boss was a human statue with six wings behind him, he looked like a hermit but had an angry looking face. He was obsidian in color but had a hint of red due to the demon elixir crystal controlling him.
Somehow, Kael and I managed to endure the blast, even though we were sent flying. Cain, however, stood his ground, completely unscathed. His powerful Force Aura shielded him from the attack.
Kael and I exchanged glances, feeling only mild pain. Our injuries weren't severe. That's when we noticed it—our bodies were enveloped in a protective magic barrier.
"You… could it be…?!" Kael gasped.
"Professor Alden?!"
I turned around in shock. Standing behind us was none other than Professor Alden. He had been following us all along without our knowledge, protecting Kael and me with his magic.
