After three hours of unconsciousness, Hazen finally awoke in a strange environment. Her hands were tied far apart, and beside her was a stool with neatly arranged torture equipment, speckled with dried blood. Hazen felt her heartbeat quicken.
"What's all this? Where am I?" she whispered to herself, her mind subconsciously drifting back to Madam Nora's torture room.
"Could it be… she found me?" she muttered inwardly, immediately pushing down the thought, refusing to dwell on it. But that didn't reduce the fear in her — everything in the room was unmistakably Madam Nora's style.
Suddenly, she heard a nearby door shut.
"Someone just entered," she thought, her eyes sharp as she looked in the direction the person might emerge from. The clacking of heels echoed in the room.
"A woman," Hazen muttered, her body trembling slightly and her mind kept drifting to Madam Nora.
