"Woman," grunted Ronan as his eyes narrowed on my laughing face. "Laugh one more time 'n your ass is getting spanked."
I really couldn't hold back the peels of laughter as he fought to keep his balance on the wobbling stilts. For every step he took forward, he stumbled back three. In fact, it had gotten so bad that the vines, who were originally trying to trip him up, were actually coming to his aid more often than not.
"Yeah, keep your laughin', Princess," continued Ronan as he felt the vine wrapping around his leg and stilt. "If I fall 'n crack my head open, Imma gonna haunt you forever."
"Shh!" hissed Rhys as he glared at me. I was clinging to Daddy's back as he walked forward on the sticks with all the confidence in the world. "If they hear us, they'll attack," continued the man, his eyes darting around the dense jungle floor.
