Ethan replied, "I was just thinking … what if we try to track down the researchers who escaped from the military base? They might be able to help us remove the chips from the soldiers' heads."
Medeia folded her arms, thinking over Ethan's suggestion. She considered it seriously and eventually decided that maybe, just maybe, it was actually a good idea.
Those researchers had probably worked on the early batches of experiments before the base was burned down by the former Corporal.
Even though Medeia didn't like the idea of dealing with people who had played a role in making those children suffer, but if they could remove the chips without killing the soldiers … then she was willing to find them.
"Do you know where they went?" Medeia asked.
Ethan shook his head and looked down, guilt flashing across his face. "Unfortunately, I don't," he said with a sigh. "Maybe I shouldn't have brought it up at all. I'm sorry."
