The scorching heat of summer lingers, and the new house is being tidied up during spare moments, washed and aired, in addition to needing some essential furniture like beds, wardrobes, and a dining table as the old stove isn't very good and needs remaking.
All these tasks need time, and Tang Yue is busy like a spinning top every day, occasionally visiting Tang Mingli's clothing store, but spending most of her time at Deng Lanhua's tailoring shop.
The tailoring shop, now with two apprentices, has become crowded. Even the back living room is used by Tang Yue and Deng Lanhua, with a large wooden board for cutting fabric set up next to it, Tang Yue personally making clothes.
Initially, Deng Lanhua was worried about whether Tang Yue could sketch but had never done cutting. She thought, if Tang Yue's cutting wasn't very good, she would have to console her.
