Erika and Carlos have an high five and went on to discuss their roles, while Abby and Niamh snorts
Logan and Cheyenne after looking at them had a helpless look on their faces as they sigh, they ignore them and went to make their foods, leaving the two to argues.
During evening, after the returned for their evening runs, everyone freshen up, they all come out to have their meal and not just them, other soldiers come out to enjoy the evening breeze, while doing so, Cheyenne starts after looking at Logan who has being sighing all afternoon, as she ask
"Are you happy with the marriage Logan?''
Logan stiffed when he heard this, all of them turn to him as well, waiting for his answer
"guys, I know you don't like Tamara, but there is nothing I can do about it, the wedding is in two weeks"
Logan answer
"And you think we can't Stop it? Dude my brother is in government house and he holds a strong title as well, just say you don't want the marriage and he will do something and everything is over"
Erika boost
"Erika is not wrong Logan, we all can see you don't want this marriage and also, I will tell you the truth, I really don't want her to be part of our family, I have this feeling that she will try to separate us, or even cause a misunderstanding between us, we can go and fall on your grandfather's feet and beg him to dissolve the marriage"
says Niamh
"I will go too, I just don't want Tamara, she don't like us and she isn't hiding the fact that she didn't like us at all"
Carlos joins
"I also don't like her, she always give out the bad aura each time she sees me, listen Logan, we all know you want to keep the peace of your family but that doesn't mean you have to sacrificed your own happiness for it, just say what is in your mind, we will handle the rest"

Logan look at them all, then take a deep breath and replies
"You all are right, I don't want the marriage and the fact that Tamara don't like you all, I know about that as well, I have warned her too, I told her if she can't love you guys then the marriage is meaningless, but listen to me first guys….My dad and grandfather also don't want this marriage, you know why?''
hearing this the five of them widen this eyes in surprise and shake their heads altogether like they are being controlled at once, Logan chuckles and continue
"That is because, her grandfather threaten to make life miserable for my dad after finding out his social circles and, the thing is, Tamara's father wants her to marry into our family because of the gain that comes with the marriage since the long time promise made stated that one or two of the expensive property of the groom side belongs to bride family as dowry and not just that, we will be paying allowance every month to all the members of the bride's family.
So because of this, I and Tamara, we made a deal that she will help control her family from taking so much money from us and break the promise made by the ancestors but in return she will have to be my wife for two years after that she will ask for divorce with the reason of me not caring about her and ignores her for the whole years we married, then everything settle"
Logan narrates
The five of them are busy looking at him with their Jaws down
Logan stare at them with worry when they didn't say a word after his words
So he worried call their attention
"Guys say something, you are scaring me with your eyes, tell me I made a good decision"
he panicky say to them but he got heavy answer
"ARE YOU NUT!!!!!" all five of them shouts at once, even their colleagues turned to look at their corner but none of them care as they stare at Logan who is in turn apologizing to the soldiers whose peace is disturbed
"Brother Logan, I have known you for making a great decision and plans but let me tell you something, in this case you failed!"
Niamh say and others nods as well
"How can you end all that by going into an unwanted marriage, the girl in question don't like you not more of loving you, how can you make such a deal with someone like her"
Carlos say joins
"She is going to ruin your life completely brother Logan, I thought we had chance in saving you from getting marry to her, who could have thought you are the one who wanted this, oh dear Lord save your son!"
Abby laments while looking at the sky as if she can see Lord, and Logan laughs seeing how she look up at the sky as she asked for God's help
"Do you think is funny!?"
Cheyenne roar at him seeing him laughing and Logan shake his head like a child
"Then why laughing? This is your life we are talking about here, today is your last time with us as a solider bachelor, tomorrow you will return home to prepare for the wedding, and here you are laughing about it, is not funny trust me"
Erika comments with all seriousness and Logan zip his lips immediately
"What if she asked you to choose between her and us, what will you do? Will you choose her?''
Abby suddenly ask, Logan frown and reply's
"I only known her for three days and we all have being together for six years and few months, how can you say something like that, she won't take your places, come on you guys are the best"
"When you starts loving her, then I am not sure if this words will stand, I am really scared of what the future will hold for us"
Erika adds, while others sigh even Logan don't have an answer for what she said.
"Okay forget it, let's wish him well on that day, but just know I am not wearing my uniform for her"
Cheyenne says after a while of silent
"Me too, I am with sister Cheyenne, on your wedding day, I will put on my best dress and sit with my family, I wont not even sits in the comrades seats"
Abby pointed
"I am with them too, don't expect anything from us that day, just our presences"
Erika adds
"I also want to say the same thing but remembering that I am his best man and amongst the people who will welcome our dear sister-in-law in the family, I rest my case"
Carlos say and everyone laughs
"Is okay ladies, you can do whatever you want, I also don't want you girls to wear your uniform especially you Cheyenne"
Logan pointed
"Okay now why is that, is everything alright?''

"Not really, it happens that Tamara's family has some connection with the Taylors in Famville, Marisa Taylors is her best friend and to be maid of honor"
Logan pointed
"What?! Are you saying that the Taylors will be there on that day"
Erika hurry asked
"Yes, and the shopping, Mom wants you girls to accompany her tomorrow is with Marisa and Tamara, sorry I didn't inform you on time, I thought Niamh found about it when he did the research about the Taylors few years ago"
Says Logan
Speaking this they all turn and look at Cheyenne at once,
"Why are you looking at me with so much sympathy in your eyes? Guys look, I don't mind, moreover, I am not Tamika anymore remember, she died six years and few months ago, the person sitting here is Cheyenne Balzary Waltz, Captain of the flamingo's squad, is that register"
Cheyenne boast

Erika say with a smile same goes to the others
"I was never into them, the only thing that makes me to remember my past is my sister, as of the rest of others I don't care if they are alive or not, for Marisa, I will still return my answer to her since we still have unanswered question, maybe Abby, you can make her dance to the tone during the wedding"
Cheyenne say with a sly smile
"What is in your mind ma'am, I will help you no matter what"
Abby swore
"Okay that is enough now, aren't we supposed to be discussing what gifts you will giving me on my wedding day instead of how to ruin someone image on that day"
Logan say. they turn and look at him, but the next minute they turn around and say to Cheyenne
"What are you planning for her ma?"
leaving Logan on his own
"Seriously guys, even if you like it or not, the wedding is still going to be hold"
Logan say, stood up and starts marching himself inside,
"ha-ha! It feel good to be left out in a conversation"
Carlos laugh and say when Logan left
"indeed. Niamh do me a favor, try and find out about the Taylors and what they have being into over the years, and check Marisa as well, tomorrow I don't want her to make us the bad people in front of Aunt, since that Tamara girl don't like us to begin with"
Erika instructs
"I will work on it, expect news before our departure tomorrow morning" Niamh assured.
When morning of the next day comes, the loud alarm of the barracks wakes everyone up, Cheyenne and her group pack up and bide others goodbye since they were given three weeks leave which also gave Logan time for his wedding
Erika tagged along with Cheyenne since her parent weren't in town, she said is lonely in the big mansion.
Meanwhile at Waltz's mansion, six years ago the Waltz gave Cheyenne a reason to go on in life, a home and a family, and over the years she made sure to keep that home together with love.
Alighting from the car, Cheyenne walks to the front door and rings the doorbell, not long a female worker opens the door from inside, as she greets the ladies with smile

Erika and Cheyenne smile and nods
"How are you doing Salina?''
Cheyenne inquires,
The young lady is in her early twenties and she started working with the Waltz last year, with her jolly type, she gets along with everyone in the house, and the elders likes her like that

Salina replies while taking Cheyenne's backpack from her
Erika pats her shoulder and went into the house with her army backpack on her shoulder, Cheyenne follow, immediately after handing over her stuffs to Salina
She just raise her head after taking a step, and heard a cute and sweet voice, which calls out to her with so much excitement
"Mummy! Major! My mummy is back"
the sweet childish voice can only belongs to Peter, Cheyenne's son, who runs out on hearing his mothers voice, he is five years and five months old, looking like a young prince from cartoon movies, he is so cute and adorable that people don't wish to put him down when they carried him, the young man behaves and act like an old man, with so much intelligence that you can't fool him at his age,
Pete rush the stairs on seeing his mother walks into the house
"Ha-ha! easy dear, you will fall off"
Cheyenne who has put down her everything she had on her aside and went on her knees with arms spread waiting for her son to embrace her, says to him
Pete hugs her so tight as Cheyenne showers him with kisses
"Mwah! I really missed you dear, do you missed me?''
Cheyenne ask when the mother and son separates from their hugs
"Off course, I missed you so much that I keep myself busy with some school works"
Pete cutely replies
Cheyenne chuckles and replies
"I can tell you didn't missed me, since you are spoiled by your grandfather and great grandmother, is not fair"
Cheyenne tease her son
"Okay, enough of the lovey dovey acts, Pete have you forgotten about me Huh?''
Erika says at the corner
"First aunt! How can you be forgotten, you come first"
Pete say sweetly to Erika, who laughs and hug the boy
"You have grown so big that you are trying to fool your aunt right, smarty head, I know all this tricks"
Erika trickles him as she say and Pete laughs and beg her to stop while on it a deep voice come
"Now I know why his voice is this loud, it turns out that Erika come with"
Mr. Balzary's voice come from the stairs, for the past six years, he didn't age that much, just that he matured, over the years he has being promoted as well, from Lieutenant Colonel to a Colonel now aiming for Brigadier general, and beside him is Mrs. Agnes, who has maintain her body even though she is on late her late sixties, she still looks young and gorgeous, seeing them Cheyenne smile and greets
"Good morning Father, granny"
Major Agnes turn and say to Cheyenne
"Come here and hug this old lady. I haven't seen you for months now and you seem a bit slimmer than before, haven't you being eating?"
Mayor. Agnes ask when Cheyenne hugs her
"Mother, she is a Captain and off course she has so many responsibilities to handle, most especially her weight, do you want her uniform to look bad on her, just look at how my daughter looks in this uniform, she don't look like she has a five years son"
Mr. Balzary praise his daughter with a proud smile hanging on his face which is evidence of how much he loves his daughter
"Grandfather I will be six soon, don't keep saying five years"
Pete interrupts while on Erika's arm
"You still have few months before that young man, so you are still five years and few months"
Erika say to him
"He will never agree to that, he has reprimand anyone who says he is still five years old all week"
Mrs. Agnes say with a smile
"That is because I am a full grown man Major, I do everything on my own, so I am six years now"
Pete say with his milky voice
Cheyenne crease his face lovely and agrees with him
"Off course my darling is a grown up now"
"Keep spoiling him. Pete dear, where is your useless uncle?''
Mr. Balzary inquire after not seeing Miles in the room welcoming his sister
"Oh grandfather, Uncle has being working hard all week and you think he is useless, the poor man returned home late last night and he is sleeping"
Pete say with a pitiful voice that the elders and workers in the room laugh so hard when they heard it
"You silly child, go call your Uncle for breakfast and stop putting in good words for him"
Mrs. Agnes say to him, Pete stuck out his tongue, Erika puts him down before run he up the stairs to go find Miles
"You two go freshen up and come have breakfast"
Mr. Balzary says to Cheyenne and Erika who nods and takes the stairs.
At the dining table, with Miles a handsome twenty-three years old boy, who is the main reason of Cheyenne having a home of her own,

Sitting on her seat, with head bowed low, Miles looks like one of the male lead in Korea drama movies, keeping off girls from his back is one of the problem he is facing recently since not just the officers in the military base but also some staffs and customers at his company fall for him,
At this moment, he eats his food with dejected face, seeing this Erika touch Cheyenne's elbow with hers and when Cheyenne looks at her, she use her head to point at Miles, Cheyenne want to ask Miles some question but Mrs. Agnes questioning voice come as she ask Erika
"I hope you have found a man as well?''
Cutting off guard Erika cough since the water she just sips choked her, Cheyenne hurry pats her back why asking if she is okay
"Granny Agnes, *cough* Why are you so eager to find me a husband when the country is still not safe, who will protect it if all of us get marry?''
Erika hurry asked with eyes redden because of the cough,
"Who said that the country is not safe? Missy is not only your duty to protect the country, Logan even though he choose the wrong bride, he is still settling down soon, what are you two waiting for?"
Mrs. Agnes say to them
"Granny I thought you were talking to Erika just now when did it turn to two of us?"
Cheyenne hurry says her piece,
"Why? aren't you single as well, go find boyfriend, I want a son in-law"
Mr. Balzary joins
When Miles who has being smiling in secret all this while heard his father's words, he laughs and seeing his sister's face that darkened when their father mentioned boyfriend he couldn't help it and add more
"Why are you laughing now, I thought you are not in the mood to chit chat"
Mr. Balzary reprimands his son, but Miles just laughs and replies
"Ha-ha! I wasn't in mood to chat before but if you guys brings up a funny topic, that doesn't mean I won't laugh about it, and dear sister, go find a boyfriend, I also want a brother-in-law. but Dad, don't worry, I think granny will have one for her at the wedding, after all, her old colleagues will be attending it, right granny?"
Miles face his grandmother
"You know, for the first time in this week, today is the only day you have said something meaningful to me, don't worry, I will have them introduce to my friends children"
hearing Mrs. Agnes first words, everyone chuckles, but her last words shut both Erika and Cheyenne up, and Miles laughs none stop
"That reminds me, where is little Abby, isn't she going with you girls to the shopping?''
Mr. Balzary suddenly inquire
"She went back home, she said she missed her mother's meal, so she will join us at the mall"
Erika answer
"She better grow up, she is not a child anymore, being the last child doesn't mean she has to behave like one"
Miles say in between his teeth, but everyone heard him and Mrs. Agnes turn to him and answer
"Like you have grown up the last few years, aren't you the last child here, Abby is even better than you to begin with, silly fool!"
"Granny, Am I really your grandson?"
Miles cries out, hearing him like that Cheyenne and Erika don't defend him or stand against him since if you do any of that, Mrs. Agnes might forget about Miles case and face yours instead, they just laugh as they enjoy their meal.
