Chapter 72 - Chapter 127-128-129

Chapter 127: Suicide Protection

Derek was in the kitchen at home, making himself a cup of coffee, while Kylie sat at the table, scrolling through her phone's news feed. With each update, more shocking information about P Diddy's case emerged. Derek had already followed many of the news stories, but something Kylie read at that moment caught both of their attention.

"Derek, look at this," she said, looking up from her phone with a surprised expression. "They're saying Diddy has been placed in a suicide protection ward. Apparently he's in an unstable mental state, and the authorities are concerned."

Derek picked up his cup and moved closer to Kylie, leaning in to see the screen on his phone.

"Suicide protection ward? Hm... Doesn't surprise me too much," he said thoughtfully. "But honestly, I bet it's more to protect him from someone who might want to eliminate him than out of genuine concern that he'll take his own life."

Kylie frowned in confusion. "Do you think anyone would try to kill him?"

Derek took a sip of his coffee and nodded slowly. "Definitely. Diddy has a lot of information about some very powerful people. If he starts talking or tries to cut a deal to reduce his sentence, you can bet he's going to put a lot of people at risk. Putting him in a suicide ward is a convenient way to make sure he doesn't end up 'suicided.'"

Kylie set her phone down on the table, absorbing Derek's words. "This is so scary, Derek. We're talking about a much bigger situation than any of us could ever imagine. What else is going to come out of this case?"

"It's hard to say," Derek replied, pulling up a chair to sit next to her. "These guys in Hollywood who have a lot of money and power…they think they're above the law. But once one of them goes down, the fear of more secrets coming out starts to grow. I wouldn't be surprised if more big names end up involved before this is all over."

Kylie shook her head in disbelief. "I just hope that everyone who suffered at his hands, like Justin, gets justice somehow."

Derek nodded, his gaze growing serious. "Me too. And not just them, Ky. There may have been a lot of other people who went through horrible things at these parties that we don't even know about. People who never got a chance to talk or were threatened in some way."

As they talked, Derek's phone began to vibrate on the counter. He glanced at the caller ID and saw that it was an old colleague from his time serving in MARSOC. Quickly answering the call, he stood up from his chair.

"Hey, man," Derek said as he answered, his voice lowered. "What's going on?"

On the other end of the line, Derek's friend began to speak, and Derek listened intently, his face hardening with each word. Kylie watched him from a distance, trying to decipher what was happening from his expression.

"I see. I'm not surprised. It seems like things are going to get more heated than I thought," Derek muttered, ending the call after a few more quick words.

Kylie stood up, moving closer to him. "What's wrong? Who was it?"

Derek took a deep breath, trying to process the information. "An old friend from MARSOC. He said there have been rumors in military and national security circles that some of the people involved in Diddy's parties have dangerous connections. Not just in Hollywood, but in other spheres of power as well. This could go way beyond what we're seeing in the media."

Kylie was silent for a moment, processing everything. "Does this mean the situation is even more complex than we think?"

"Yes," Derek replied, looking her in the eye. "If Diddy starts talking, it could bring a lot of people down. And if they put him in a suicide ward, like I said before, it's probably more to make sure he's not silenced by someone who's afraid of what he might reveal."

Kylie took a step closer to Derek, leaning into his arm for support. "Do you think it'll be safe for us? I mean, we're not even directly involved, but with all these revelations... do you think it could get back to us somehow?"

Derek smiled lightly, wrapping his arms around her shoulders. "We'll be fine, Ky. We're not involved with these people in any way that could put us at risk. But it's important to stay vigilant and watch how this plays out. The situation is far from over."

She nodded, trusting his words. "I just want this to be over. For Justin, for all the victims, and for us to be able to move forward without this constant fear."

Derek kissed the top of her head. "It will be over. And the people who deserve justice will get it, one way or another."

As the day wore on, the news continued to trickle in, but Derek and Kylie knew this was just the tip of the iceberg. Diddy's case wouldn't be solved easily, and the consequences could be enormous for many of the powerful people he knew.

Derek kept his guard up, as he always did, knowing that in situations like this, the truth always comes out, and those who stand in the way of justice rarely escape unscathed.

Chapter 128: Paris Fashion Week

The soft sound of the private jet cut through the silence as Kylie watched the clouds pass by the window, anxiously awaiting her arrival in Paris. Derek was beside her, checking some messages on his cell phone, but always paying attention to what was happening around him.

Paris Fashion Week was one of the most anticipated events of the year, and this time, in addition to seeing Kendall walk for Scaparelli, it would be an opportunity for Derek to learn more about this side of the fashion world.

"Are you excited to see Kendall walk?" Kylie asked, turning to him with a smile.

Derek smiled, putting his cell phone in his pocket. "Absolutely. I've never seen a runway show up close before. It'll be interesting to see how everything works behind the scenes."

"It's a whole different world," Kylie commented. "You'll see the energy, the production... It's intense, but at the same time very glamorous. And Kendall looks amazing as always."

When the plane landed at Paris airport, a team was waiting to take them straight to the hotel. Traffic was busier than usual because of Fashion Week, but Kylie was used to it. As the car wound through the streets of the French capital, she pointed out some of the shops and cafes she loved, sharing her memories with Derek.

"This city always reminds me of good times with Kendall. She loves Paris, and every time she walks in the show, she gets so excited," Kylie said. "Today is going to be special."

When they arrived at the hotel, the place was swarmed by fans and paparazzi. Derek, as usual, remained calm but attentive. He knew how intense the media interest surrounding the Kardashian-Jenner family was, and he wanted to make sure Kylie was safe and comfortable.

"Is everything okay?" he asked as they walked through the hotel lobby, already aware of the routine of public appearances his wife faced.

"Yeah, everything's okay," she replied, holding his hand. "You're here, and that makes everything easier."

After settling into their hotel and changing, Derek and Kylie prepared for the main event. Kylie looked stunning in a signature ensemble from her own brand, while Derek, with his impeccable style, wore a tailored suit that perfectly matched the sophistication of the occasion.

Arriving at the show venue, the atmosphere was electric. Models and designers scurried around while VIPs settled into their seats. Kylie and Derek were led to a special front-row seat where they could watch Kendall walk down the runway.

"Derek, do you see all this preparation?" Kylie whispered to him. "It's like a military operation, every detail has to be perfect."

He chuckled softly, taking in the surroundings. "Well, in a way, it's like the logistics of a mission. Everyone has their role and is coordinated to make sure everything goes as planned."

The Scaparelli show began, with an uplifting music echoing through the room. The models began to walk down the runway, wearing extraordinary pieces that blended classic and futuristic elements. The soft lighting accentuated the details of the outfits, and the audience was mesmerized.

When Kendall finally appeared on the runway, the energy in the room increased. She walked with confidence, wearing a stunning piece: a black gown with gold details and structured shoulders that accentuated her natural elegance. Derek noticed how intense the camera flashes were as she walked, a true star in the spotlight.

"Kendall looks amazing," Kylie commented proudly, shaking Derek's hand. "She was born to do this."

"She has a strong presence," Derek agreed. "It's impressive to see up close."

After the show, Derek and Kylie were taken backstage, where they found Kendall already surrounded by stylists and reporters. When Kendall saw the couple, she smiled broadly and walked towards them.

"Kendall! You looked perfect!" Kylie exclaimed, hugging her sister.

"Thank you, Ky!" Kendall replied, still buzzing from the show. "It was crazy out there, but I loved it."

Derek greeted Kendall with a warm smile. "You did great. It was an amazing show."

"Thank you, Derek. I'm glad you guys came!" Kendall replied. "It's always special to have family around."

As they chatted, photographers snapped photos of the group backstage, capturing the intimate moment between the sisters and Derek. Soon, the event planner invited everyone to a private party that would be held immediately after the show.

"Shall we?" Kendall asked excitedly.

"Sure thing," Kylie replied, already accustomed to the fast-paced events. "But first, let's relax a little."

The group headed to the party, where celebrities and fashion influencers were gathered. Derek, ever the observer, kept an eye on the surroundings, but also enjoyed the relaxed moment. He knew how much these events meant to Kylie and Kendall were excited to be a part of it.

As they drank and chatted, Kylie told Derek, "You know, Paris Fashion Week is always crazy, but I love the energy here. And having you there makes it even better."

Derek smiled, holding her hand. "I feel privileged to be there for you through it all. And seeing Kendall shine like that was incredible."

The night continued with laughter, conversation, and celebration. Kendall was beaming after the show, and Kylie, sitting next to Derek, felt fulfilled, seeing her family together and enjoying the fruits of their hard work.

At the end of the night, as they drove back to the hotel, Kylie rested her head on Derek's shoulder in the car. "I love Paris, but I love being here with you even more," she said softly.

Derek hugged her, looking out the window at the city lights. "Me too, Ky. And no matter where we are, the important thing is that we're together."

Chapter 129: Dinner in Paris

The lights of Paris glowed softly as Derek, Kylie, and Kendall's car drove through the city's charming streets. They were on their way to one of the city's most renowned restaurants, a dining experience that had come highly recommended by Kendall's friends. The trio were enjoying the evening after the show, with the Parisian air bringing a sense of lightness and celebration.

Kylie was excited, fixing her hair and checking her makeup in the car mirror. "I love how Paris always has such a romantic feel, no matter where you look."

"I agree," Kendall replied, looking out the window, where the streets were ablaze with the twinkling lights and the elegant buildings. "And this restaurant is going to be amazing. You're going to love it."

Derek sat quietly, watching the two sisters and smiling. He knew that despite the intensity of the last few days with the events of Paris Fashion Week, moments like this simple yet full of family connection were what really mattered.

When they arrived at the restaurant, they were warmly greeted by the maître d', who led them to a reserved table with a view of the Eiffel Tower. The restaurant, with its classic and intimate décor, exuded elegance and tradition. The ambiance was cozy, with soft lights that created a welcoming atmosphere.

Kylie sat back in her chair and smiled at Derek. "This place is beautiful. I'm glad we're all here."

"Me too," Derek replied, holding her hand for a brief moment. "Paris never disappoints."

Kendall, flipping through the menu, looked at the two of them with an amused smile. "You two look like a newlywed couple. That's adorable."

Kylie laughed and shrugged. "We're still in the honeymoon phase. I think it'll last forever."

"That's just as well," Derek joked, winking at Kylie before taking the menu. "Now, what should we order? Everything here looks good."

As they discussed the dishes from foie gras and duck confit to more modern takes on French cuisine the conversation flowed naturally. Derek, who was more accustomed to simple, down-to-earth meals due to his military background, was captivated by the attention to detail and the exquisiteness of the dish descriptions.

"What do you recommend, Kendall?" Derek asked, knowing that she was no stranger to the Parisian culinary world.

"Definitely the tuna tartare for starters," she replied promptly. "And the filet mignon with béarnaise sauce… it's just perfect here."

"The sound of that made me hungry," Kylie joked, as everyone laughed and placed their orders.

With the dishes ordered and the wine poured, the trio enjoyed the moment of relaxation. Kendall began to tell some funny stories from backstage at the show, talking about little mishaps and how some models almost lost their balance in their sky-high heels.

"I swear, there was a moment where I thought one of them was going to fall right in front of me," Kendall said, laughing. "But she managed to catch herself like a pro."

"I didn't even notice," Derek said. "It was all perfectly choreographed."

"That's the trick," Kendall smiled. "Making it look easy, even when you're sweating nervously."

As they laughed and chatted, the waiter brought out their main courses. Derek was impressed by the flawless presentation of the filet mignon in front of him. "It's definitely not the kind of meal I'm used to seeing."

Kylie laughed. "It's a lot different than what we eat every day, huh?"

"Absolutely," Derek replied, as he cut into the first piece of perfectly cooked meat. "But it's a nice change."

As they ate, the conversation turned to other topics. Kylie mentioned that she was excited about the continued success of her cosmetics brand, while Kendall talked about upcoming fashion shows and campaigns.

Derek, always observant and attentive, noticed how happy and fulfilled the sisters were in their careers. He knew how hard they worked to maintain their brands and continue to evolve, and he was proud to be a part of this family.

"So, what else do you guys have planned for this week?" Derek asked, enjoying the moment of relaxation.

"I have a few more meetings with brands tomorrow," Kylie replied. "But after that, I think we can take some time to explore Paris, do some shopping."

"I'm game," Kendall said excitedly. "There's always something new to discover here."

After they finished dinner, the waiter brought a special dessert a classic crème brûlée with a thin layer of caramelized sugar on top.

Kendall smiled when she saw the dessert. "This is one of the best desserts in Paris, trust me."

Derek, curious, took the first bite and smiled. "Okay, you were right. This is amazing."

Kylie laughed. "Derek is becoming a real food critic now."

"Or maybe. "I'm just being spoiled by you guys," he replied with a smile as he continued to enjoy his dessert.

When the meal was over, they walked out of the restaurant and were greeted by the cool Parisian night air. The lights of the Eiffel Tower twinkled in the distance, creating a stunning scene. Kylie walked closer to Derek and held his arm as they walked.

"I love this city," she said softly. "And I love being here with you even more."

Derek smiled and kissed the top of her head. "I love it too, Ky. Moments like this make it all worth it."

Kendall, walking beside them, sighed happily. "You two are so cute. But seriously, tonight was perfect. Thank you for coming with me."

"It was a pleasure," Derek replied. "And it was great watching you walk." You really do own the stage."

"Thank you," Kendall smiled proudly. "Now, how about we take a walk before we head back to the hotel?"

"Great idea," Kylie agreed. "Let's enjoy this magical night a little longer."

And so, the trio walked through the illuminated streets of Paris, enjoying each other's company and the beauty of the city. It was a peaceful evening, full of laughter and conversation, and one that would remain etched in all of their memories as a special memento of their time in the city of love.
