Even though wars certainly caused many deaths, standing idly by was unavoidable. Whenever a world or nation sought development, war was inevitable because people, already accustomed to a particular way of living, found sudden changes hard to adapt to.
Moreover, as they began to struggle with adaptation, they inevitably sought ways to alter their circumstances. Even considering quick and significant changes would inevitably lead to wars. If the changes proceeded smoothly, the transformation could continue; if they failed, then the ruling family's era—and their so-called changes—would vanish.
