Chapter 327 - Chapter 327: The Dragon-Taming Stone

  Splish splash——

  Water splashed all around.

The pitch-black pond water was dotted with golden light, and four people swam towards the giant circular rock, one after another.

Wu Tie took the lead, moving very quickly, and in a few swift strokes, he swam to the bottom of the giant rock.

This rock was as big as a house, capable of even pressing down a dragon. With his mortal strength, how could he possibly pry it open?

He tried a few times around the rock and then anxiously waved at Lu Fei.

"Come quickly and think of something!"

Lu Fei and Jing Jian, carrying He Yunsong, swam over with great effort.

He Yunsong examined the peculiar plant, which looked like it was made of human bones, with a gleam in his eyes.

"Young Lu, this must be the elderberry we are looking for!"

"It looks very similar, but elderberry grows from the dead..." Lu Fei looked down at the base of the plant, "There is no corpse here..."

"Since it is a gift from the Dragon God, why would it need a corpse?" He Yunsong waved his hand, though he was excited, under the gaze of that enormous vertical pupil, he didn't dare to pluck it first.

"Let's find a way to move this stone first."

"You guys are not ordinary people, you must know how to move this stone," Wu Tie said excitedly, rubbing his hands and looking at Lu Fei with hope.

It was as if he was looking at the key to open the door of a treasure vault.

"A stone that can suppress a dragon is definitely not an ordinary stone; brute force won't work," Lu Fei said, squinting his eyes and examining the stone.

The stone was tall and its surface was very rough, with a very noticeable notch at its highest edge.

"When my half-master was telling me stories about true dragons, he mentioned a type of stone that contains special power and can suppress dragons, called the Dragon Suppressing Stone," Jing Jian recalled.

"Do you think this is a Dragon Suppressing Stone?" Lu Fei turned to look at him. "Is there a way to break it?"

"I seem to remember my half-master saying that the method is simple. Just make a cut at the weakest point of the Dragon Suppressing Stone, and its power will naturally dissipate. But it's been a while, so I'm not sure if I remembered it correctly," Jing Jian said uncertainly.

"We'll find out by trying," Wu Tie immediately pulled out a small dagger for self-defense and stabbed at the boulder randomly.

  There was a loud clang.

  The dagger broke directly.

"This is a stone that can suppress a true dragon; ordinary knives will not work." He Yunsong mused, "We need to use a magical instrument! Use the magical instrument to attack its weakest point!"

  Weakest point?

Lu Fei raised his head and immediately noticed the notch at the top of the stone.

The boulder was generally round, with only one obvious notch.

  Could it be there?

However, it was too high, about seven or eight stories tall. He would have to climb up first.

"I'll go give it a try."

The surface of the stone was uneven, providing many places to grip and climb.

"Brother Jing, stay below and keep watch."

  "Okay, be safe!"

  Jing Jian nodded.

With Jing Jian's help, Lu Fei stepped on the protruding rocks and climbed up cautiously.

The huge eyes of the black dragon watched him, appearing very patient.

  "Be careful!"

The three people below also watched him nervously.

The surface of the rocks was slippery, but surprisingly, Lu Fei managed to climb smoothly and quickly reached the highest point, standing at the gap.

  "Huh?"

Once at the top, he was surprised to find that the boulder was not solid; it was actually a super large pit.

At the bottom of the pit, there was some water.

"How does it look a bit strange? Like a huge... bowl!"

Lu Fei's whole body jolted, his eyes widening in disbelief.

"Yes, it's a bowl! And a broken one at that! There's water in the bowl!"

He immediately thought of the old madman from Balian Village who begged for water.

  "It can't be a coincidence!"

That old madman, could he have some connection with the Dragon Suppressing Stone?!"

  Lu Fei's heart was pounding.

"This matter is not simple, I can't act rashly!"

  A cold wind blew by.

The hem of Lu Fei's clothes fluttered slightly.

He looked up and saw the huge head in the shadows, which nodded slightly at him. In its bronze-gold vertical pupils, a faint gleam of anticipation could be seen.

"The Dragon God has nodded! It must be that one, hurry up and do it!"

From under the boulder, Wu Tie's urging voice came. Both he and He Yunsong's eyes revealed an extremely abnormal impatience.

  "Something's not right!"

  Lu Fei frowned.

Seeing that he still hadn't made a move, the huge head of the black dragon moved closer, its golden vertical pupils fixed on him, emitting a strange, eerie light.

Lu Fei met those pupils with a gentle gaze. Suddenly, the pupils dilated, and the eerie light engulfed him instantly...

  In a daze.

A familiar voice reached his ears.

  "Xiao Fei!"

Lu Fei jolted awake, his eyes snapping open.

The scene before him set his heart ablaze with fury.

He saw his grandfather bound to a pillar, his body covered in wounds.

  "Grandpa?!"

  "Xiao Fei, save me quickly!"

Lu Fei was in a panic, rushing towards his grandfather in a hurry.

  Just then.

The black umbrella on the side of his backpack trembled, and black hair emerged, crawling up his middle finger and giving it a gentle squeeze.

  Blood dripped down.

A sharp pain shot through his fingertip, and in the blink of an eye, the scene before Lu Fei changed.

Where was the figure of Grandpa?

There was only a dark and damp cave.

  "Is this an illusion?"

Lu Fei was dazed, finding himself standing at the edge of a boulder, with the thunderstruck wood already raised and aimed at the gap.

The sight below the boulder made him freeze in shock.

The golden light that had shone like stars at the bottom of the water had turned into a blue-green phosphorescence.

Those luminous objects were not gold, but densely packed, cold white bones!

  As for the elderberry.

It was nothing more than an illusion created by a pile of bones!

  Another illusion!

Since all of these are fake, then—

Lu Fei swallowed and raised his head again, looking towards the massive elongated shadow, and was instantly startled.

On the gigantic head of that long shadow, what grew were not dragon horns, but straight horns resembling bamboo shoots.

  That was not a dragon.

  It was a monster!

  Lu Fei's heart thumped violently.

Covered in black scales, with horns on its head!

This is a jiao (a kind of mythical creature).

A snake becomes a jiao after five hundred years, and a jiao transforms into a dragon after a thousand years!

A jiao that had at least cultivated for several hundred years!

For some unknown reason, this massive creature was pinned down in the cave by the Dragon Suppressing Stone. Everything it had done earlier was to lure them into breaking the stone for it.

Fortunately, we didn't let it succeed!

Lu Fei was drenched in cold sweat.

The Netherworld Umbrella had once again saved his life at a critical moment.

Seeing Lu Fei stop again, the giant head of the black water dragon emerged from the darkness, stretching out anxiously towards him.

However, perhaps due to the effect of the Dragon Suppressing Stone, it could not get too close.

Its vertical pupils were no longer copper-gold but a dark green, gleaming with an evil light, fixed intently on Lu Fei.

Lu Fei activated his magical power, and his eyes became clear.

Naturally, he would not fall for the trick again.

"Thankfully, the Dragon Suppressing Stone is holding it down!"

Otherwise, they might have already turned into white bones at the bottom of the pool.

"We need to wake the others up quickly."

Lu Fei slid down the boulder and plopped into the water, swimming towards Jing Jian and the other two with all his might.

Under the water, phosphorescent light flickered, with layer upon layer of white bones spread out.

There were human bones, as well as the bones of animals such as pigs, cows, and sheep.
