"How ugly."
Hela stared unblinkingly at Ebony Maw, his body frozen solid in the vacuum of space. Her hand, mid-motion to summon her magic, stopped in the air, rigid.
A layer of white frost clouded his lifeless eyes.
With a snap of her fingers, blue flames ignited at his feet. Hela wanted to watch as he burned to ashes.
He had dared to spout such arrogant words, thinking he could destroy her along with her ship?
If she had been so easily taken down by Ebony Maw, how could she ever have the dignity to stand behind Alan, to be his woman?
Only after Ebony Maw was reduced to nothing more than cosmic dust did Hela turn away. As for reaching Earth's Sanctum Sanctorum?
She already knew the way.
Once she arrived on Earth, she would honor her agreement with Alan—she wouldn't recklessly seek him out.
"I refuse to believe Emperor would be at the Sanctum Sanctorum!" Hela muttered, but her heart was uneasy.
A part of her hoped Alan would be there, while another part feared he actually would be.
This internal conflict left her mind in turmoil. But regardless, Hela was now at full strength—there was nothing she feared.

When Hela appeared inside the Sanctum Sanctorum, Ancient One didn't even need to turn around. The sheer intensity of the aura was enough to tell her who had arrived.
"You don't look so good."
Hela immediately noticed the exhaustion on Ancient One's face—something that shouldn't be there on Earth's most powerful sorcerer.
Cough, cough…" Ancient One let out an awkward cough. She barely walked in, and she's already poking at my weaknesses?
After forcing a smile, she looked at Hela helplessly.
"What brings you here so suddenly?" She had never seen the Sanctum this busy before.
Alan had just left, and Ancient One had been using magic to repair the damage Ebony Maw had caused.
"I came because I need something from you." Hela grabbed a chair and sat down as if she owned the place. She was impatient to have Ancient One read Alan's fate—she wanted to know when he would finally come for her.
Ancient One sighed inwardly. Fortunately, she was somewhat used to Hela's unpredictable thinking—otherwise, she wouldn't even know where to begin responding.
"Let me guess, you're here to ask where Emperor is again? If that's the case, I'm afraid I'll have to reject you outright."
After what happened last time, Ancient One had no desire to relive the experience of breaking into a cold sweat.
Alan was always aware when someone tried to spy on him with magic.
And considering she had just lost the Time Stone, it was already fortunate that he didn't blame Ancient One for it.
"Of course not! I just want you to help me calculate…"
But as Hela spoke, her gaze flickered toward the Eye of Agamotto.
Why wasn't it glowing?
"What's going on?"
Hela had made plenty of unreasonable demands of Ancient One before, but she quickly sensed something was off.
The Eye of Agamotto, which was supposed to radiate light, was now dull and lifeless.
Ancient One sighed in resignation and explained everything to her.
This was the first time she had encountered such a situation. Naturally, she felt some frustration and disappointment.
"And that's the story."
"I see!"
Hela shot up from her seat.
So, the Time Stone had fallen into Thanos' hands?
If she retrieved it… wouldn't that make Alan come to Asgard even faster?
Determined to shorten the wait and reunite with Alan as soon as possible, Hela made her decision—
She would take the Time Stone back!
