"Come."
The moment Alex's taunt was heard, the viper lunged at him with terrifying speed. It was still invisible, but Alex could feel its massive body coiling and snapping through the air like a whip.
Woosh!
Alex barely dodged to the side, feeling the rush of wind as the viper's fangs grazed past him. The ground beneath cracked from the sheer force of its strike.
Alex, however, didn't have the luxury of rest.
The viper was relentless in its assault, attacking repeatedly with no pause between its strikes.
"Hisss!!!" It would hiss in anger every time it missed.
Unlike before, where it had tried to stay invisible most of the time, the beast was slowly increasing the time of its visibility.
The beast was phasing in and out a lot more than before. It acted purely out of rage, but it still wouldn't jump into its death. The only reason it was doing this was because it had judged itself to be stronger than Alex.
