Lord Javi had just gotten back to his office and settled into his chair when he opened his mouth and barked an order as loud as he could to whomever was nearby.
"Get me blood! Now!" he screamed, his eyes redder than normal as he glowered at everything and everyone, even as he heard the sounds of footsteps that showed everyone close to him was trying to obey.
He was pissed—and even that was an understatement—as he looked down at himself. His wounds were still bleeding, especially since he hadn't taken any blood on the way back, regardless of the rash he'd had at every point of the journey back to his district.
All the other Lords had also left and headed back to their districts, and Javi didn't spare a single thought for them, whether or not they lived. All he cared about was his own survival... unwilling to drink old blood unless he was dying.
