She laughed and patted his face before running away.
He felt a sudden emptiness on his lips and, feeling a bit lost, saw her beckoning him over.
"What?" he asked as he walked over and sat down.
She was picking through two big bags of candy she had just bought and counted them out for him to hear, "Let me tell you, with my twenty years of experience dominating the candy world, these are the sweetest ones!" Her face was full of an expression that said, "You don't understand candy, so let me teach you."
"..." He stared at her, his eyes conveying two idioms: "Incredulous" and "Words fail me."
She unwrapped one and fed it to him, "Try this one!"
He ate it, chewing expressionlessly.
"Is it sweet?" she asked, her eyes full of anticipation.
"Not sweet!"
"… How is that possible!" she said, eating one herself. "Personally tested, it's much sweeter than the one before!"
He simply ignored her then.
