Charon stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows, bathed in sunlight, feeling happy about the news he had just heard.
"Stan, the adventurers found the location of the Demon Clan earlier than expected," he did not turn around, as he did not want the Cow-horned Helmet Mercenary to see his expression.
"...much earlier than anticipated."
The mercenary named Stan stared at Charon's back, his tone somewhat repressed.
"Yes, much earlier. The kin you wanted to eliminate haven't even had the chance to accomplish great deeds yet."
Charon said, "Just like we agreed at the beginning, you go and help. After all, I can't allow my soldiers to enter another noble's domain without permission, and negotiating would waste time."
Stan stared at him for a while and said in a deep voice, "If you are dissatisfied with my plan, say it directly, don't try these probes next time."
"Hmm." Charon's response seemed to indicate he understood.
