Kieran's blood ran cold at those words. A whole noble family had been wiped out just because they refused to give up their heritage and stand for what was right.
Jake's story explained what the noble guy meant by "adopted child of a fallen noble family". Those words were pretty accurate, it wasn't something made up or something twisted that they had come up with.
Jake wasn't done with his story though, as he continued after closing his eyes for a period of time, collecting his emotions.
