Max didn't flinch.
He looked him dead in the eye, voice calm and venomous.
"This shocks you?"
His fingers began to tighten around the steel.
"Then let me show you something… that'll make your soul tremble."
With a sudden surge of force, Max crushed the head of the axe in his grip.
SHATTER!
Metal shards burst into the air like a grenade going off.
The demon barely had time to register what had happened when Max's fist came flying in.
BANG!
It landed square in the demon's chest—a crushing blow laced with draconic force.
The impact sent the demon hurtling backwards, a blur of red muscle and armor slamming into the distant hillside with the force of a meteor.
BOOM!
The slope caved in, dirt and stone erupting in a cloud as a gaping hole appeared in the rock wall where the demon's body had hit. There was no movement.
Max stood still, arm lowered from the punch, his expression cold.
