"Chase, that's not where that goes! Artemis, mess up one more time—I dare you." Chione's voice rang sharp and stern, making the two look at each other with wide, dumbstruck faces.
Elisabeth chuckled from nearby. "Chi~ just calm down. I'm sure they're trying their best," she said while rubbing her temples. But her soothing words did little to ease Chione's scowl.
Athena stifled a laugh and continued placing delicate ornaments on the tree with the poise of a seasoned decorator.
"How can Luna and Sage decorate better than you two? Not to mention Lyra," Chione said, arms crossed and frustration blooming on her face.
Why was Chione acting so strict? Because apparently, she took Christmas very seriously. She said it was her first time celebrating it and she wanted to go all out like in the Christmas movies. What started as pure excitement had turned into micro-managing mayhem. And unfortunately for Chase and Artemis, they were the prime culprits of her ire.
