Sunlight spilled through the glass walls of the private villa, casting a golden halo over the silk sheets tangled around Ever's body. Her hand reached out instinctively—and landed on warmth.
Allesandro was already awake, watching her. His bare chest rose and fell slowly, his arm curled around her waist protectively.
"You're staring," she whispered sleepily, a smile tugging at her lips.
"I'm memorizing," he murmured, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "Just in case the world tries to take you again."
She laughed gently. "It can try. But I'm Mrs. Wales now."
Their lips met in a kiss, soft and slow, interrupted only by a knock at the door followed by twin voices.
"Mommy! Daddy!" Isla and Leo burst in with giggles, jumping onto the bed.
"We brought breakfast!" Isla declared proudly, holding up a tray that clearly wasn't made by them.
"We didn't spill the juice!" Leo added.
