When I walked away from Edward I thought he would chase after me and say yes. I thought he would be ecstatic to spend some 'alone' time with me if you caught my drift but he didn't even bother. Instead he was on his phone for a few minutes before he even came into the building.
I hadn't gotten my answer which left me on edge during practice. Maybe he genuinely thought I was talking about work and not 'inviting' him over. I didn't want to be too direct in case he said no. The humiliation would have been too much for me to bear and I wasn't going to embarrass myself like that.
If he couldn't piece it together in his own head then I wasn't going to spell it out either. He hadn't made a single advance for the past two weeks. It was hard! So bloody hard to talk to him and try not to focus on his lips.
