"Sir, please—I came to inform you that Dr. Shawart initiated the fusion of those monster particles on the child, and after a while… she went crazy and started killing everyone," the commander stuttered, his voice trembling as he spoke through the video call with Isakawa. His face was pale, sweat dripping down his forehead.
Isakawa remained silent, his sharp gaze fixed on the screen, waiting for the report to continue.
"I-I don't know how to say this, but..." The commander swallowed hard before forcing the words out. "It looks like her blood—and the blood of the people she killed—was moving. It started slicing through our men, like how she did back at the heroes festival. We've confirmed thirty-two scientists dead.... And sixty-four of our soldiers are dead as well."
Lina let out a soft giggle, her fingers elegantly tapping against the armrest of her chair. "How fascinating," she mused. 'They're actually terrified of a mere child.'
