Alyssa pressed her eyes shut waiting for the impact but after a few seconds nothing happened. She spread her fingers, peeking through them. She blinked in disbelief as the creature paused before falling to the ground,a pool of blackened blood spreading underneath it. Her chest rose and fell rapidly, her heart constricting making it difficult to breathe. She was so close to getting a heart attack. Her breath caught in her throat as her wide eyes settled on the figure standing behind the monster.
"Isla?" she gasped, her voice hoarse and trembling. "What are you doing here? Nobody's allowed to visit me"
But Isla didn't respond immediately. She stared at Alyssa with a bored look on her face. Her hair was plastered to her face and her robes were torn and dirty. The way she glared at Alyssa made her heart skip. Her eyes glinted coldly and unforgivingly.
"You…you didn't answer my question" Alyssa whispered again,her voice weaker than before as she pushed herself up from the floor weakly.
