Lyla felt like her world had just paused and unraveled before her eyes.
It felt like a part of her which was so important and irreplaceable was ripped straight from her chest harshly. A screeching scream tore from her throat as she clutched her chest in her hand, hugging herself tightly. Her limbs trembled and her knees threatened to give up. She managed to stand, forcing herself to move.
She knew what happened but she tried to convince herself that it didn't happen. She needed to get to him.
She stumbled a few times as her feet dragged against the rubble and blood soaked stones,her vision blurry from the tears that stung her eyes. She didn't care about the commotion that was happening around her. All she was focused on was one thing. One person.
