"Helen!"
The administrative assistant, Ami, called out to Helen Hayes, who was about to head to the CEO's office.
Helen stopped in her tracks.
Ami handed several documents to Helen, saying, "These documents need the CEO's signature. Can you take them in for me?"
Helen took them and was about to leave when Ami called her back.
"Um... Helen!"
Helen had no choice but to stop again and asked Ami, "What's wrong?"
Ami looked troubled. "Helen, I remember you mentioned that the CEO had hired a new administrative assistant, but why hasn't the new assistant arrived yet? My due date is next week..."
"I know..."
Ami pleaded, "I really can't hold on until next month. Please talk to the CEO about it!"
"Ami, to be honest, the company has been bustling lately, and the CEO hasn't been in a good mood these past few days, so... I'll find a suitable time today to ask him again!" Helen said.
Ami was grateful to Helen and asked, "The CEO is in a bad mood?"
