Date: FEB-13, 2002/2:02 AM HAVN Facility-The Commute-area A couple of minutes ago, the entirety of HAVN was light up with power, then pitch blackness, immediately when the Subjects started to panick, it was the Receptionist, Ashley that took charge to regain some semblance of calm. That's when the emergency, shatters over her workplace, lowered and shut in front of her, which meant that the emergency system, codename "PURGE" which protects C Levels in various positions in the Commute-area, but...releases the Mutates onto the area as well, to purge all Subjects and then Mutates, as they change location. But she realized that there weren't any guards in the area, and the power was back to reserve backup, meaning this "PURGE" wasn't suppose to happen.
Ashley she banged on the shatters, and yelled to the people to run, cause soon something horrible was about to happen. A few moments, after Hyun-woo Dae's team not cut the main power, but all the power to the backup security systems, that Barrow Corp. had place, in case of a enemy raid or a major escape breach. But the massive backlash of all the power, and the security systems, being so suddenly and improper cut-off, cause a major problem with the system. So HAVN's systems were going haywire, trying to reboot, while shutting down, activating, and proceeding with all systems and protocols it has installed, like the PURGE Protocol.
Currently all the containment units for the mutated experiment subjects, aka Mutates, were being moved and relocated to the Commute-area, just like the PURGE Protocol has installed. This also caused all high-clearance areas to be closed-off, and shut down from the lack of the main power-grid. Not only that this also caused, a major problem in the Shuttles...
Date: FEB-13, 2002/2:32 AM HAVN Facility-The Shuttle Trail lines While 2X, Brick, Lill, Uncle, Specs, K, Pig, Muse, Husk, and Grinder were still waiting strapped onto the tables, inside of the shuttle, they felt the shuttle shaking, and then start to make noise. Crashing against the rails, as the loud, pitched screeching was clearly heard by all ten of them. Husk and Lill were clearly starting to panic, K started to curse, loudly in Spanish, while Pig and Uncle tried to keep everyone calm. But it was clear whatever was happening was not normal!
With no power feeding the automatic steering systems of the Shuttle, and no one from the Observatory Level, able to activate the emergency breaking/shutdown systems of the transport. The Shuttle was completely out of control, trying to keep control, eccelarate, and break all the same time, was causing it to scrap and scratch against it rails. Sparks were flying off the central wheels, hooked to the railing. The makeshift team were screaming and struggling against, their restrains and hoping to survive this "runaway trail" their trapped in.
Eventually the shuttle is supposed to reach a juncture point, to stop and the lift to lower it to one of the levers for testing. But at it's current speed, it will only crash and luckily not explode on impact or the fall below.
The shuttle was getting closer to said juncture, everyone was still trying to break loose of their restrains, but they were only struggling in vain. The juncture was just ahead, and the shuttle reach the point. Smashing onto the juncture rail, the force and speed was soo intense for the rails to be able to safely handle it, and the shuttle bounce of the railway.
Bouncing and smashing a couple of times off the ground, denting and damaging the shuttle lower parts. 2X and his team were screaming as they were thrashed, slightly around the shuttle, if no for the tables they'd be in a worse state. The shuttle scrapped against the ground, as it was heading over the edge of the juncture lift. Eventually the shuttle...fell.
Tumbling over the edge, and started smashing against the walls and edges of each lower floor. The shuttle was getting seriously damaged, chunks were being torn off, and major dents and damage were happening all over the shuttle. The team were now really scared, and screaming with 2X, yelled out for everyone, "Ohhhhfffffuuuuuucccccckkkkk!!!" as the continued to fall, deeper, and deeper underneath the facility, hoping they survive through their crash.
Date: FEB-13, 2002/2:38 AM HAVN Facility-The Containment Zone With the entire system of HAVN crashing from the abrupt power cut, it could only activate the only priority protocol. That protocol, being codenamed, "PURGE" which was moving and shifting all the containment cells allover the facility for eliminating all possible leads back to Barrow Corp. Of the monsters that were created, as a byproduct of the NEMESIS Project, they're extremely dangerous for an unarmed individual. Normally all these monsters, called Mutates, were all held in a secret zone in between the Observatory Level and the Commute-area. The Mutates have nearly a dozen varients of Mutates, all locked away like caged, dangerous animals, hostile to all manner of human contact.
The failing/corrupted system, following the PURGE Protocol, multiple containment cell were being moved by the emergency power, that still remains within this facility. Creatures inside those cells, growl and thrash around their containment units, meanwhile eight very special and reinforced containment cells, that belongs to most important subjects of the NEMESIS Project, called the ALPHA_EVEs.
The ALPHA_EVEs are the most dangerous and important NEMESIS in the project and the facility. They all possess unique mutations and super abilities, coupled with extreme psychotic tendencies. In case of a PURGE Protocol, the EVEs are temporarily relocated to their own, unique trial area, that Peons call the Haunting Grounds. Until a special recovery team is sent to retrieve and re-capture them.
As the Peons, were panicking. When the sound of something echoed in the dark, when the hiss of something opening, in the Commute-area. As the Subjects were frightened by the quiet and the dark, that's when the emergency light finally kick in, and the people were carefully looking around.
When they heard skittering in the dark, alerting all the Subjects in the Commute-area, using the light to try and find whatever made the sound. They saw something rushed through the lights and shadows, this caused more panic amongst the Subjects, as their suspecting that one or many of Barrow's monsters were in the Commute-area, with them. After a while one Subject, called out that he saw something, alerting the rest of the Peons. Then they spotted it, a Mutate, they recognized it from it's still look somewhat human with lanky body, aside from its pale skin and being hairless. This is called a Creeper, cause of their looks, as it was holded down, it started to move and crack the bones on it limbs, stretching itself and it long, sharp-claws. The Creeper's pale eyes looked at them, as it hissed and revealed it massive fanged mouth, speaking or more like repeating a frase, "Itcomes,itcomes." Since they have dealt with Creepers before, the Subjects known that there's never just one of these Mutates. Then cracking and skittering was heard as more humanoid shadows were coming into the light. As more and more Creepers were emerging into the spot, some of these Mutates even have twisted devices, strapped to their hands.
From blades, spikes, and other weapons that Barrow most likely attached to their limbs, as they spoke jibberish at the Peon. Overwhelmed with fear at the sight of Mutates, out of a trial area, they were soon swarmed by Creepers. They screamed as a large group of Creepers, attacked.
Date: FEB-13, 2002/4:00 AM HAVN Facility-Upper Level/Research Area: Observatory Level Hyun-woo Dae and his team, were traversing the area in the dark, with their flashlights, illuminating their way, through the hallway, overviewing the Commute-area. Once they were close to where Susan, told them would be the private elevator to Dr. Lunara's Private Office. That's when all the screaming started, this alerted all of them, as they aimed their weapons wildly into the dark. They would have continued to act erratically if not for Hyun-woo, yelling, "그만! 즉시 포메이션으로 복귀하세요!/Geuman! Jeugsi pomeisyeon-eulo boggwihaseyo!(Enough! Return to formation, immediately!)"following his orders, they took positions on the wall away from the windows. The screaming continued, along with new noises...one of the soldier spoke out loud, "사령관님. 그게... 울부짖는 소리인가요?/Salyeong-gwannim. Geuge... ulbujijneun soliingayo? (Commander. It that...roaring?)" Hyun-woo, turned to one of his men, not knowing what to say in response. Cause to him it also sounded like...a wild animal?
Then the they heard, a graspy voice, "See you. See you...I see you." this immediately alerted Hyun-woo and his team. They all pointed their guns, behind them to the end of the hallway, they're flashlight, shining on a Creeper, with plates attached on various parts of it's body. And its left claw, was screwed and encased over with a long blade, as well as being covered in blood. The team was shocked at what they seeing, before they could react, the creature roared at them, as the Creeper roared at them.
Then it started rushing at them, swinging it blade-hand, wildly in the air. In response, Hyun-woo order them to fire! They've started shooting their weapons at the Creeper, hitting it in various spots, until a shot to the neck, took down the mutate. But then more roaring, screeching, and scrapping was heard, turning their flashlights, further to the hallway, they saw more of those things, rushing at them.
Various Creepers, drawn from the gunfire came to attack. Hyun-woo seeing them, coming at them, he yelled out, "적대적인 목표가 바로 앞에 있습니다. 지금 당장 쓰러뜨리세요!/Jeogdaejeog-in mogpyoga balo ap-e issseubnida. Higeum dangjang sseuleotteuliseyo! (Hostile targets, dead ahead. Take them down, now!)" Hyun-woo was the first to fire, and soon all his team joined firing at the hostiles. While they shot down, all the Creepers that are coming at them. Wasting a lot of ammo, as their bullet either didn't cause a fatal shot, or hit a metal plate over their pale bodies.
All the while, Dr. Lunara, was watching everything from her, closed-off office. Normally the PURGE Protocol, wouldn't allow Mutates or as Subject: 00128-A, dubbed them, Creepers, or any other mutate varient onto the Observatory Level. But with these intruders, caused this catastrophic, system crash like this. The PURGE Protocol, was going haywire and in process of moving the mutates, it must of set some mutates close to Observatory Level, hence them and possibly other mutates are now loose allover the facility.
She continued to watch. The Asian intruders were slowly getting overwhelmed, their wasting ammunition on shooting the mutates like if they were human. What can take down a human, is not the same as a mutate, as Lunara saw one of the Creepers, managing to reach one of the enemy soldiers, and taking him down, and start to slash and stab into the fool.
One by one, Hyun-woo Dae's teams were being killed by the hostiles, as their wasting ammo, and the creatures were still coming. They were in a seriously, unadvantageous position out in the open, groaning angrily, he gave the order, "후퇴하라! 후퇴하라! 남자 풀백, 지금!/Hutoehala! Hutoehala! Namja pulbaeg, jigeum! (Retreat! Retreat! Men fullback, now!)" as he gave cover fire, to allow his men to run. Obeying his commands, they started to retreat further into the hallway, and taking a pause to provide, cover fire for their comrades. As the Creepers, chased after them into the depths of the Observatory Level.
Date: FEB-13, 2002/5:15 PM HAVN Facility-Lowest Level: Shuttle Crashsite In the lowest levels, hanging from some still some ways away from the actual group, as the shuttle was being suspended by some thick cable-wires and rubble the team's shuttle was badly busted up. Barely in tact or hanging on, as inside it was dark, and sparks from some damage areas were flying and slightly lighting the shuttle's interior. 2X gasped for air, and coughed, as he woke up from unconsciousness, as he could taste some blood, that fell down his face. He looked around, to see the others were unconscious, 2X realized that his table was damaged enough for him to break free.
As he struggles to free himself, he heard someone else gasping for air, turning to the source of the sound. He saw that Brick, he also awakened and has survive the crash. 2X called out to him, "Brick! Brick! You okay!?" with him responding, "Yeah I'm fine. Just a bit, banged up. You?" 2X, replied that he was fine, and also asked if Brick can get himself free? With some use of strength, Brick broke one of the table straps, and started to free himself, and in a few moments the sound of him falling to the ground, after being freed was heard by 2X. After 2X, caller out to Brick again, who was getting up and went over to 2X to free him.
Then as 2X was being setting freed, they heard some groaning, as another one of their "team" was waking up. At least for now, it looks like their three of them alive, 2X suggested that they should free the others, and to do it fast. Brick asked him, "Why should, we hurry up?" 2X, told Brick the reason because it was smarter and more safer in number, and the other reason was that the shuttle was at risk of blowing up!
Looking around Brick noticed the cables and wires, any spark that occurs will light up and blow up, the entire shuttle. 2X and Brick, rush to the third person that just woke up, it was K. And K, was saying, "¿Que carajo paso? ¡Mierda! (What kind of dog crap is this? Shit!)" they calmed her down, and helped her get free. K, once freed, she complained a bit from a pair on her leg, at least it wasn't broken, but it still stung like a bitch to her. Brick and 2X, managed to convince K to help them set the other free, she only said, "Yeah, yeah I help you. But that pig of a Cop, I'm not helping him. You got that!" 2X sighed, as he, Brick, and K went around to free the others.
Date: FEB-13, 2002/6:00 PM HAVN Facility-Upper Level/Research Area: Observatory Level Hyun-woo and his team, were still being chased by the unknown pale creatures, taking occasional pauses to shot at the creatures and slow them down. But all their doing, was wasting more ammo, and getting tired, he knows that they needed to find a place to rest and to check on their supplies and ammunition. Then as they kept on running, they reached a side hallway, deciding took take that route, Hyun-woo spoke, "이쪽으로! 지금! 움직여, 군인들!/Ijjog-eulo! Jigeum! Umjig-yeo, gun-indeul! (This way! Now! Move, soldiers!)" and they followed Hyun-woo, through the left route.
As they ran through the new hallway, the Creepers, were still chasing after them. But in some struck of luck, they found a door coming up, Hyun-woo told them to enter the room. As he pulled out a flashbang grenade, and dropped behind him, and as he ran throught the door, a explosion and flash occurred behind him, this was followed by sets of painful and angers roars, seems Hyun-woo Dae's gamble paid off. With him and his team, now twenty-seven of them, still alive, meaning that they've lost nine men, during the fire-fight against those monsters.
Now they can rest, as Hyun-woo ordered his men to reloud, and check on their supplies, as they take a breather. But that's when, they heard loud stomping, when they shune their flashlights at the other side of the room, that they were resting in. At the other side was a massive silhouette, one huge mutate, it appears as a huge humanoid creature, with incredible muscle structure. It looks like a huge behemoth of dark skin-tone and some thick metal-platting on the body of the creature, along with a spiked helmet, attached to it's head, as the mutate noticed them, the huge creature, roared at them and smashed it massive fists to the ground. This is a Brute, extremely violent and aggressive towards anything human, while Barrow has tested on this mutate varient to have some method of control over this walking juggernauts, the end result is making them more aggressive. As sparks of electricity, shocked the head of the Mutate, making it angrier and it charge at the Korean soldiers.
They immediately started shooting at the Brute, their bullets causing little amounts of damage, as Brute barely bleed or was affected by the bulletstorm. The Brute, reached a couple of them, and smashed his massive arms onto them. Crushing them, as they scream and blood splashed and gushed out their broken bodies, the Brute, started to smash the two soldiers, over and over. Two more have died and were being mutilated, one of the soldiers, pulled out a USAS-12 shotgun, and blasted a round at the back of the leg of the monster. The close-range, and power of the shotgun blast, caused enough damage to destroy the right leg of the Brute, now the mutate was on the floor, Hyun-woo ordered that same soldier, to keep firing, at the monster until it was dead.
Obeying his order, that man got onto the back of the Brute, and fired two more times onto the monster. Aiming at where the heart should be, those shots were fatal. As blood and chunks of the Brute, flew and burn, from the close-range blasts. Now they were out of danger...for now, as Hyun-woo told them to finally rest.
Hyun-woo has just realized that they're is real danger, and these creatures must be apart of the NEMESIS Project, research. As he reloaded his guns, and spoke, "총격. 상태보고서./Chong-gyeog. Sangtae bogoseo.(Fireshot. Status report.)" Chong-gyeog, stepped in front. And he told him, that they'd lost around 22% of their overall ammo-supplies, and obviously they have just lost two men. Twenty-five of them remain, and it was clear that this mission, has become much more difficult, and dangerous, then they originally predicted. Hyun-woo, sighed and told Chong-gyeog, to tell the other to rest for five minutes, before they move out again...
