Lemu paused, considering his words before explaining, "She manages the villa. Her name is the Great Sage. You could think of her as... well, similar to an AI."
He continued, "Essentially, she'll be your supervisor. If you have any questions at all, ask her. Usually, her recommendations are my decisions."
"Oh, and just so you know," he added, "the Great Sage handles payroll, too."
The silent 'Battle Angel' and Alice exchanged brief nods, acknowledging the introduction.
Lemu then guided Alice over to the table, gesturing towards the papers on its surface. "If everything looks acceptable, we can sign the agreement right now."
Alice shot another quick glance at the 'Battle Angel' before settling onto the sofa as Lemu had suggested.
She picked up the contract, read a few lines, then stopped, a slightly puzzled look on her face as a thought struck her.
She pressed her lips together for a moment. "You mentioned hiring me as head maid... but it seems like no one else actually lives here?"
"Exactly," Lemu confirmed with an easy nod, as if this were perfectly normal. "It's just me here, and I don't plan on hiring anyone else. So, yes – you'll be the head maid, managing yourself. Any issues with that?"
Alice blinked, seemingly absorbing this unusual arrangement without much difficulty.
"Okay... what about your parents?" she asked tentatively. "Do they not live with you?"
Lemu spread his hands slightly, his expression becoming distant. "Unfortunately... I don't have any family left."
The simple, sad statement made Alice instantly regret her question. Her face fell, and she looked down, nervously tracing the edge of the contract paper with her finger. She opened her mouth, then closed it, unsure what to say. "Oh... I'm so sorry, I had no idea..."
Lemu offered a small, reassuring smile, shaking his head gently. "It's okay, honestly. Don't worry about it. And while I might not have family, I do have good friends who look out for me... In fact, two of them live just over on that mountain."
A touch of pride entered Lemu's voice as he spoke of his friends. "Even if we give each other a hard time, mentioning that friend definitely earns some points – he's pretty well-known. You know... 'Iron Man'?"
He added, "I'll introduce you sometime if I get the chance. Maybe they'll drop by tomorrow or the next day to see the new place, say hello." Since Lemu had just moved, it was natural Stark and Pepper would come by to celebrate.

Lemu tapped the contract Alice was still holding.
"Now, let's go over the specifics of your compensation."
"...During your employment," he read, "we'll cover all your tuition fees. That includes related expenses too – medical, transport, room and board, everything. On top of that, there's a monthly salary of one thousand US dollars, and you'll have a dedicated car for your use. Naturally, we'll revisit these terms once you graduate."
A thousand a month wasn't extravagant, Alice thought, mostly covering basic living costs. But the full tuition coverage... that was huge. Easily sixty thousand dollars a year she wouldn't have to worry about. And her scholarship money could finally be saved...
This offer was simply incredible!
Hearing the terms laid out so clearly, Alice hesitated again, turning the pages over in her hands. "This... this seems like too much," she said uncertainly. "Are you absolutely sure this is appropriate?"
"Not high at all!" Lemu countered easily, gesturing broadly. "Think about top-tier household managers or executive assistants. Salaries in the millions aren't unheard of."
He leaned forward slightly. "...Look, if you feel the compensation is too generous right now, then see it as an investment. Focus on your studies, develop your skills. Once you graduate, I hope you'll help me manage my business interests."
"I have several companies, Stark Industries included, and frankly, I need capable people I can trust to help run things."
His eyes met hers earnestly. "I really believe you have great potential, Alice!"
How could she refuse when he put it like that? Meeting his expectant gaze, a surge of determination went through Alice. She would prove herself worthy of this chance, this trust. She nodded firmly. "Okay."
"I promise, I won't let you down," she said sincerely. "If you'll excuse me for just a moment, I need to get something from my car downstairs."
With a formal, graceful bow, Alice turned and quickly headed down the stairs.
Moments later, footsteps echoed softly from the hallway. As a figure emerged into the living room, Lemu looked up. His gaze instantly locked, his breath catching in his throat.
She was stunning. Utterly breathtaking. Like some dark, intoxicating bloom – a black datura unfurling its petals beside a mythical river of the afterlife.
A black, elegantly cut maid-style dress hugged her form, emphasizing curves so perfect they were almost startling. The low neckline revealed a tantalizing glimpse of pale, smooth skin. The deep black of the dress seemed to lengthen her silhouette, making her appear impossibly slender, yet paradoxically highlighting the astonishing fullness of her bust and hips.
Against the black, her radiant golden hair seemed almost luminous, like the vibrant heart of that mythical flower, lending her an undeniable air of aristocracy. She looked less like a maid and more like a princess disguised in servant's attire.
Who wouldn't linger forever by that river, Lemu thought fleetingly, even as a lost soul, just to be near her?
This vision of a 'princess' gathered the hem of her skirt, sinking into a flawless, elegant curtsy. The movement revealed black knee-high boots beneath the dress, leading up to the unexpected, provocative allure of dark fishnet stockings against her skin.
She looked up, a soft, charming smile playing on her lips, but her lake-blue eyes sparkled with a mischievous, teasing light. "Greetings... Mr. Echeverria..."
Lemu swallowed, his throat suddenly dry.
Okay, he admitted to himself, feeling heat rise in his cheeks. Yeah. I'm completely hooked.
