"If you don't mind telling me, what is your name?"
"Of course, my name is Jasper Williams. I come from the Williams family, based in the kingdom of Heratil."
"Oho! Heratil! What a delight to have one of its citizens attending our academy. You seem to be pretty well versed in your spell casting. Casting spells on the opposite ends of the table with no issue is no small feat."
"What can I say, I've done my research."
"Splendid! I hope to see what more you can do in the near future!"
As he finished his sentence, the projection stopped as a symbol of three stars appeared over his head. The crowd ogled at the shifting projection as the headmaster continued.
"You are ranked as a three star mage! You will be joining our advanced course as of today. You can head over to the section with the matching amount of stars by the flower beds."
"The flower beds…?"
Jasper turned around to see the surrounding flower beds covering the courtyard changing form and the flowers within each section slowly morphing into the shape of stars using their colors. The white flowers formed each star in each part of the flower bed. The shock of the sudden change with no chants surprised everyone.
He walked over to the three starred flower bed as he slicked his hair back once more, causing some of the girls to scream out his name and swoon over his display and looks. Some of the guys smacked their teeth in the process, seeing him as nothing but competition. Dante on the other hand, felt more compelled to see how he should aim his wand. He fiddled with it before noticing the elven girl glancing at him from the side.
"You won't be able to cast like that…"
"I'm not too confident about casting to be honest."
"If that's the case…be ready to get placed at the bottom."
"I'm…well aware of that possibility…but I can't afford to stay down forever."
"Hm…"
She turned away quickly before more students stepped up to the spot the headmaster instructed and tried their hands at the randomized spell calling. Many were placed within the different rankings, one star was the most popular as many of the students were attending for the first time. Certain students placed in the two star section, which showed them to be competent spell casters of their own respect. Three star students were among the best spell casters, able to emulate the headmasters commands nearly to perfection. Other than Jasper, only a few placed themselves amongst the bunch.
