Murmurs continued as Dante tapped on the desk to get Iris' attention, who seemed to be nose-deep in her book once again, writing whatever information she could. Her ear twitched as she stopped writing momentarily.
"What is it?"
"How do you feel about the Dungeon Walk? I've never been in one before…"
"I've read a ton on them, though…no experience here either…"
"Hmm, what do you think are in them?"
"Monsters…traps…you name it. Now can you stop talking, I'm focusing."
"Oh…no need to be so rude about it."
"Whatever."
His face scrunched at her words and looked away angrily at her responses, trying his best to keep his composure. He turned back to see the board once more as the professor continued to speak. He was very thorough in his explanations as he breezed through them seamlessly.
Iris had shut her book and began to put her stuff away, not noticing the time had passed as the bell rang loudly. Other students began picking their belongings up and walking out with their partners, seemingly happy with who they were with.
Dante watched her sling her bag onto her shoulder and fix her hair before walking down the assortment of stairs from their desk, leaving him and the professor alone. He let out a sigh as he shortly followed behind, though he was stopped by the professor before he had the chance to step out of the door.
"You know, I didn't randomly put you all together for no reason. Though I knew it'd be harder for some of you to connect."
"Yeah…I can tell. My partner rarely wants anything to do with me…"
"You know how nobility can be, being put here probably has her more tense than anything…"
"She's noble? Just like Terra…"
"The Laurier family is quite well known around these parts, mainly for their extensive knowledge of Nature and Summoning Magic. There is another Laurier here, while the other was one of my previous students…didn't expect the youngest to be here though."
"She seems pretty talented…"
"Well, she didn't perform when it mattered, so she has the same rank as you. Hopefully, you two figure things out."
"Yeah…right."
