Chapter 147 - Chapter 147: Infiltration

As Christine and Wentworth stepped into the banquet hall together, deep within a dense forest not far from the Vole Manor, Auston Greengrass emerged, dragging a bloodied wizard behind him.

With a forceful shove, Auston pushed the wizard forward. The man stumbled a few steps before collapsing face-first onto the ground, landing at Rosier's feet.

Rosier glanced at the wizard groveling before her, then turned to Auston and asked, "Just this one?"

Auston quickly explained, "They had lookouts stationed around the manor. We've already taken care of the other three and are interrogating them separately."

Hearing this, Rosier shook her head slowly, seemingly indifferent. "No need for that. It doesn't matter who they are—I've already guessed their identities. Tell them to bring the other three here. Their bodies will be of more use to us than their minds."

Without hesitation, Auston Apparated away to carry out the order.

Once Auston had departed, Rosier turned to the two young men standing behind her and asked, "Can you guess what I intend to do with their bodies?"

The two young men were none other than Cedric and Kirk.

Hearing Rosier's question, Cedric and Kirk shook their heads vigorously.

Seeing their response, Rosier frowned, clearly displeased. "I recall teaching you both that as wizards, you must always have your own thoughts! And if you lack your own, at least learn to anticipate others'. Have you forgotten?"

Cedric swallowed nervously, while Kirk forced a grimace, his voice trembling as he spoke. "Professor Ilona, everything that's happened today caught us completely off guard! Just like how we never expected to see you here!"

Ilona waved a hand dismissively. "Ridiculous! Do you really think the world waits for you to be prepared before things happen? Don't forget, you are no longer just Hogwarts students!"

Kirk let out a bitter laugh. "I just didn't expect that after only a few days in the Pureblood Party, we'd already be caught up in something this intense! This feels like a small-scale wizarding war!"

His gaze swept across the scene, and his voice quivered slightly.

Cedric, however, smirked proudly and said, "Kirk, you lack vision—I've seen a real wizarding war!"

At that moment, Auston returned with two other Pureblood Party wizards, dragging three unconscious wizards behind them.

Without hesitation, Rosier plucked a strand of hair from each captive and placed them into separate glass vials. Almost immediately, the vials emitted a pungent, nauseating odor.

Kirk and Cedric exchanged glances and simultaneously exclaimed, "Polyjuice Potion?!"

Rosier shot them a look and remarked dryly, "Seems like you two are doing well in Potions. I'll be sure to inform Professor Snape to keep a close eye on you when you return to school."

Their faces fell instantly.

Rosier picked up one of the vials and handed it to Auston Greengrass. Without hesitation, Auston took it and downed the contents in one gulp. Moments later, his body transformed, shifting into an entirely different person.

"Cool!" Kirk couldn't help but exclaim in awe.

However, Rosier then picked up two more vials and handed them to Kirk and Cedric.

As the two stood frozen in shock, Rosier clinked her own vial against theirs and said, "You'll get used to this soon enough—because we are the Pureblood Party."

With that, she downed her potion in one swift motion.

Kirk and Cedric had no choice but to pinch their noses and gulp down the foul-tasting Polyjuice Potion.

Within moments, the four, now completely transformed, followed Rosier boldly into the Vole Manor.

Upon entering, Rosier gave her orders: "Find the nearest restroom. If anyone asks why you're here, simply reply: 'For the greater good.' They'll recognize you as one of us."

With that, Rosier strode off without another word.

The remaining three exchanged glances before Auston set off in one direction, while Cedric and Kirk took another.

As they walked, Cedric turned to Kirk and asked, "Kirk, from what Professor Ilona said, does that mean there are already Pureblood Party wizards inside?"

Kirk nodded slowly before letting out a quiet chuckle. "Do you know what I'm thankful for right now?"

Cedric shook his head in confusion.

Kirk smirked. "I'm grateful that the Sorting Hat placed Wentworth in Hufflepuff. Just look at these arrogant Dark Wizards, thinking they're untouchable, unaware that the Pureblood Party has already infiltrated them completely."

"These so-called powerful wizards are all dancing in the palm of Wentworth's hand. This year's House Cup is as good as Hufflepuff's!"

Cedric was momentarily speechless. After a pause, he sighed and said sincerely, "Kirk, you truly are a dedicated Hufflepuff prefect."

Just then, someone approached from the opposite direction. Seeing Cedric and Kirk, the man paused and asked, "Tom? Jack? Weren't you two on lookout duty outside? What are you doing here?"

Both Kirk and Cedric froze momentarily. Then, as they exchanged glances, a smirk appeared on Kirk's lips. He stepped forward and confidently declared, "For the greater good!"

The man hesitated. "…?"

A look of realization dawned on his face, and he quickly reached for his wand.

Seeing this, Cedric and Kirk both inwardly cursed—"Not good!"

Cedric instantly went for his own wand, but the other wizard was a split second faster, already drawing his.

Just as Cedric was about to despair, a swift kick from Kirk sent their opponent flying—wand and all.
